We met in late Oct but got married Nov 3rd - it was the closest Sat they had available at the venue we wanted. I didn't care when it was, I just wanted it in the fall.

We're not there yet, but barring any huge problems with visas or Diploms...yes.

We will get married exactly 2 years after we decided we needed to be together.

Turns out that's the only date available at our venue when he and his family can all be here.

Coincidence...

Yeah most likely, but still :)

I had always planned on a having my wedding in May or June but hubby wanted to get married as soon as possible after my 1 year ban was up so we could start the visa process....

He wanted to get married in January/04 and he gave me about 2 or 3 weeks notice but I managed to get him to wait until March/04...

My husband arrived in mid-March, so that didn't give us much of a window. I wanted to get married right away, but hubby said he wanted to marry on his birthday (end of April), so that when we did - it was perfect for us.

We got married on his birthday so he would never forget our anniversary!!!!!

Kidding. Well, sort of. We did get married on his birthday; but only because the date worked for everyone involved. It was actually a Thursday night.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

We picked a day that we knew Mel's mom would be in town- it was a surprise for her. We found a local Minister and went down to Jackson Square and got married. Mel's mom stayed with my stepson and Mel took me to a Plantation for the night.
