We went to Sedona, AZ for ours. Just because my wife used to live there and I used to drive there for years. It was actually one of our conversation topics we talked about when we first met so seemed like the best place to drive to for our Honeymoon.

Only did it for a long weekend, horse back riding, rock climbing, wine, scorpian hunting, star watching and even a trip back to Slide Rock...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

Laura, instead of everyone here guessing at what you and your husband may or may not enjoy as a honeymoon, why don't you tell us what you two find appealing in a vacation spot? That might narrow down the locations, allowing us to greater assist you. :)

I agree! Let us know what activities you enjoy and what you want to DO on your honeymoon. Are you into historical architecture? Do you like lazing on a beach? What time of year are you planning a wedding? So much depends on what you guys like to do, and what kind of climate you want to be in.

I've heard they are renting Scott Peterson's cell for 1 hour a day at St. Quentin's..... For free sister, think about it

Kidding.

Pelican Bay is beautiful. That's Pelican Bay, the resort in the Bahamas, not the state prison, Len. San Quentin has a beautiful view of the Bay and it's land value is around $120 million. Doesn't mean you should end up at the "Q."

The State has no business in the bedrooms of the nation. What goes on between a man, his wife, scuba gear and various consenting household appliances is nobody's business.

They are given one set of non-latex gloves and one apron per person that says: "Kiss the Cook" and "Lifers do it Better", autographed by the inmate of their coice. Also included in the honeymooners package at San Quentin is the bestseller: "I didn't do it, ask my mamma" by Scott Peterson; which includes the un-cut and not yet released video tapes with Amber Frey- directed by Charles Manson, all rights reserved.

NM is a beautiful state. Not the part near Las Cruces with all the cattle, unless you like the smell of methane. Carlsbad Caverns is beautiful, especially the bat flight. Nothing like starting off your marriage by being pooped on by flying rodents. Prepares you for a life with the inlaws.

Yeah..maybe one day my husband and I can go on a honeymoon (after 15 months of marriage)!!! After we were married (when we were sofa king retarded), we thought yah..let's just drive to Texas from B.C. for our honeymoon. They won't care if you are married without paperwork at the border!! We were going to take the scenic route...go down the Oregon Coast...then the redwood forest, then VEGAS, then the grand canyon and then home to Texas.

Let's just say THAT never happened. It's kinda funny these days talking about how stupid we were. Luckily our hotels were refundable. My husband got fabulous advice (yeah right) from his hockey buddies who came down south after they were married to stay. Except they left out one key ingredient, DON'T DRIVE DOWN TOGETHER!!!

Oh well..

hindsight is 20/20, hey?

We'll be honeymooning in the Smoky Mountains. Eastern Tennessee is awesome. Lots of cabins in the mountains where you can disappear.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

that trip sounds great. isn't it funny thinking back to what we thought immigration would be like. I remember telling the hubby that if he didn't get his visa in 3 months he would get a temporary work authorization for the rest of the processing time. not sure what combination of INS/BCIS/USCIS guides I read to come up with that.

You left out the "I'm a bottom," commemorative tote bag and the "I didn't miss out on the make up sodomy," drinking mug. That's not all, included is one Amber Frey, "who's my baby daddy home DNA kit," and fictitious fishing tackle from the Scott Peterson incredibly weak alibi collection. They'll also be given one seven course meal and one night accommodation as well as Sy N. Ide, the last air freshener they'll ever need. Sy N. Ide, a not-my family company. All Courtesy of the People of the State of California.

LOL that's pretty funny..

I called USCIS one time, they told me he could visit for 6 months...but by then his paperwork would be finished and he could just stay. I feel like such an idiot for trying to convince the border patrol of that. LOL I made such a scene ..I was bawling my head off when they wouldn't let us through. I was so upset I called like a week later to talk to the guy who denied us and thank God he wasn't working..who knows what I would have said. Anyway, the person I talked to was like " Ohhhh You're the one that married that hockey player.." Apparently, I made a lasting impression on the entire office if he remembered me. LOL

It's like I was in denial of what "could" happen at the border... All I had on my mind was the wedding..
