As you all probably know, I decided to go and see my husband because our case is in the dreaded AP...

Was thinking if my boss would give me 4 weeks off without pay then I would just go for four weeks. But really and truly, I don't think he would be so generous with the time and the morale is so very low here. People are arguing in this office, constant conflict and I just plain unhappy with the job.

So, I booked a flight to India for March 17th - 7 weeks - Return May 5th. Haven't paid for it yet though, just made the reservation.

I thought, "hey if I am out of work, take advantage of it and extend the trip 2 or even 3 weeks more."

My husband would meet me in India the day after I arrive. We would spend 10 days in India and then I would visit Iran for 2 or 3 weeks and then I would go back to India for remainder of the time.

I know this sounds quite risky and I am nervous....But what the hell! In for a penny, in for a pound!!!

I know you've been having a hard time with this.

And I hear you about the work, you sound just like me when I talk about my job. lol

Anyways, best wishes to you on both your trip and your job.

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

I did this very same thing while waiting for the process to move along as slow as it was then and couldn't wait to be with my husband in Turkey, so I asked for a leave of absent from work for a month without pay and glad I did it! I was with my husband for that time being and not thinking of anything but for the moment that we were together.

I wish you luck with your decision and be happy and have a safe trip!
