I-485 case status, possibly RFE

I cannot check my I-485 status yet, neither in the website. I already have called USCIS but it said that this case cannot be checked in this moment, I tried and tried in different ways and nothing!!!! How can I talk with any person there??? I'm worried because I have my biometrics date on Feb 8. The biometrics letter shows both case numbers (EAD and I-485). If I wasn't able to check I dont' know if the biometrics would be taken for both cases...

What can I do aside to being patient and wait? :help:

Don't worry about it...if you read through some posts in this forum, you will find people whose cases finally get on the system in a few weeks or months. But it doesn't reflect on whether the case is beign processed.

I just had biometrics and they just take your appointment letter which has the numbers . They know whether it's for EAD or AOS or both. You can find some posts on that as well.

Honestly...by your timeline, it hasn't been very long :)

02/22/11 - Filed

02/28/11 - NOA

03/28/11 - FP

06/17/11 - status change - scheduled for interview

06/20?/11 - received physical interview letter

07/13/11 - Interview in Fairfax,VA - easiest 10 minutes of my life

07/19/11 - Oath ceremony in Fairfax, VA

12/1/09 - received at VSC

12/2/09 - NOA's for self and daughter

01/12/10 - Biometrics completed

03/15/10 - 10 Green Card Received - self and daughter

I think your case was just like mine.. I was not able to check my status online until after my biometric appointment for my AOS and EAD. and was approved without interview as well. I am sure u are okay ...

12/23/2010- Resend the packet with complete pages.

12/29/2010- Check cashed in

01/03/2010- Receive NOA

01/10/2011- Email from USCIS for the Required Evidence( Finger printing)

01/26/2011-Biometric Schedule

02/07/2011-USCIS online status update-

02/12/2011- Received Interview Letter Scheduled March 14

02/12/2011- Received Descheduled letter

02/17/2011- USCIS online Status update

02/22/2011-New IL arrived schedule for March 29

02/22/2011-Descheduled Letter Again ( 2nd Time)

02/23/2011- I called USCIS and I was told new schedule in the computer for March 22

02/23/2011-USCIS ONline update....

03/01/2011-Interview Letter for March 22 @ 7:15 AM

03/22/2011- Interview and Oath; US Citizen

One more thing, I'm worried about a possibly RFE due to I have not sent the I-864 form from the main sponsor (my husband-USC). So, I wish I could know if I had one RFE but when I called and I did the RFE trick my case wasn't able to be ckecked...

Yes, you're right. A lot of people are in the same situation. I hope that after my biometrics I can check my status. But the strange thing for me, is that I can find or check my case when I called to USCIS; I understand that in the webpage can't be updated but USCIS not... I don't know what to think.

Yes, you're right. A lot of people are in the same situation. I hope that after my biometrics I can check my status. Same situation for me... nowhere to be found. But we have the same biometrics appt date, so hopefully everything will work out well. :thumbs:

Same situation for me... nowhere to be found. But we have the same biometrics appt date, so hopefully everything will work out well. :thumbs:
