AOS release of information form

I am using James shortcuts and filling out the I-864 coversheet and release form (being much more careful then I was with the fee bill and they receive it feb 1st so I know they will be ready for the next check...money really does move things along ) and at the bottom is the name of the embassy. I dont know if they will put Chennai or Madras. can any one directct me plz.

If you are talking about the release of tax information form, that hasn't been required for quite some time.

another question for you since you have been using the same shortcuts; it states that the I-864 is gernerated on the monday following the processing of the AOS fee and the automated system doesnt reflect that. When I called this morning the system said it had received the bill and fee, is this the the que that it has or will be processed? I hate calling the operators there so I was wondering if you just went on faith and mailed the I-864 packet with out calling? can you advise me what you would do in this situation.

Yes, I just found that a few days ago, very helpful. The one that is pinned goes on to say the tax release form is no longer required, however that thread is so long it's hard to find all the updated information.

I would wait until you speak with an operator and they confirm that the I-864 has been sent, I know they aren't always the most pleasant (well they pretty much always were with me, but there is that apprehension - I hear you). The Monday following the processing of the AOS fee bill - I vaguely remember reading that but I didn't actually assume that - I called if I remember correctly.

According to Rina's auto messages list, there is no auto message for the I-864 generation.

If I remember correctly, the automated system won't tell you when the I-864 has been generated. I checked the NVC messages thread and it doesn't list a message for it, nor do James' shortcut say that it's on the automated system. I think you have to talk to an operator and ask if it has been generated or mailed to you.

I have had good luck with the operators being pleasant but it is the long wait to get to one of them on the line (I guess if i put it into perspective that wait is nothing compared to what I have been waiting for my approval ) I will just bite the bullet and give them a call next week and give them a few days to get it generated.

Usually the NVC automated messges don't reflect I864 generation. I got to know, by calling NVC and talking to an operator.

Well Indianheart, we are in a same boat. I called NVC 4 times yesterday(i got them buddy, lol )and received the same answer twice that my AOS bill was cashed this Monday Feb 4th and I-864 was generated/send to me the same day. So, I am sending my forms today.

you gave me courage and I called...sure enough the I-864 packet has been mailed...now the trouble is I work 12 hour shifts and cant do a thing about till Monday when i get a day off when the post office is open...so much for saving time
