We recieved an RFE for the medical physical for my wife's AOS. She is in her first month of pregnancy. THE USCIS customer service said we should rely on the doctor to provide answers as to what is necessary for the test. The doctor's office that we scheduled the exam for says the TB test "should" be okay for my wife. My wife is from France has been vaccinated against TB so there is no need for her to take the test and she has her vaccination records to prove it. I don't want to harm her or our baby. Has anyone had this experice? Please share it with us. Thanks in advance.

If she has been vaccinated against TB, she shouldn't take the test. The test result will be positive.

My doctor sent me to take a x-ray, instead of taking the test.

I think you should talk to her obstetrician if she can take x-ray.

Actually I think all people getting married as two US citizens should have to go through a lot more to get married than what they do currently, it is a total joke, especially for such a serious life long committment. No wonder so many marriages fail or there are so many divorces when so many people should have not been married in the first place! A lot of those divorce rates would decrease and more people would do a much better job of making certain they were truly committed to that other person for their natural born life! It ought to be a federal law! Why not if we have to all go through it why not US citizens?

We were in a similar situation but for the TB vaccine. In the first trimester, regardless of what doctors say is OK, I would avoid any vaccines. For a TB test, I don't know. I would not get any X-rays in the first trimester. Maybe you can find another civil surgeon who will recommend deferring this until after delivery. Maybe the doc can put this in the medical exam report (I've heard of that before).

Maybe it is only a I693A is all you need, do you remember if you filed one of those for AOS? if so do search on here and look up Dr L. E. Arnold, she will do the transfer paperwork from DS3025 vaccination form given to your spouse during her physical before coming to the USA and only for $10.
