I've said this before....critical thinking should be a required coarse in High School and college.

and then pepper it with religious fundamentalism and you've a got a very large population unable to think for themselves.

Yes, and we should reinstate the draft so that no-loads like you can invest some of your superior knowledge, and lofty leadership skills in the betterment of your country.....and possibly mature some by learning tolerance the hard way, which is the only way for you....

kaydee..what branch of service were you in?

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

He and Limbaugh all won purple hearts for running up Hamburger Hill for seconds.

Perhaps McCain and Limbaugh could swap war stories--McCain about his POW experience, and Limbaugh about his pilonidal cyst. I'm sure Limbaugh would have been the first grunt on the ground if he hadn't had that pesky problem...

 Damn my bunions!

Totally not funny. Steven-why don't you try bleeding REAL blood for "grateful" people like you (seemingly) that make a joke of the medal awarded for your sacrifice? I was wounded in action-and your words are offensive.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

It sure was fair game 4 years ago when Kerry was running against Dubbya. One guy a drafter dodger...the other a purple heart reciipient who's service was not only questioned but made fun of. Can we be consistent at least on what is taboo?

I don't think that Steven is making light of soldiers who have been wounded in action.

I don't know about Kaydee, but Rush famously didn't serve, hence Steve's point.

Somehow these Dylan lyrics came into my head.....

'Tolling for the aching ones, whose wounds cannot be nursed

For the countless confused accused misused strung out ones and worse

And for each and every hung up person in the whole wide universe

And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.'

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
