My last name: Mateo-Villanueva

His last name: Gil de la Cruz

Your name + Mateo + his first last name = (de Gil) (you use the first last name of your husband like your second last name)

This is optional, it is not required/mandatory in this country.

To change that name into your documents like collegue degree means a lot of money and if you get divorce means a lot of money again to put it back as a single woman :)

My college documents and degrees will have my name, not my new name. Also, I am a law student so I my practice I will just go by Mateo. But for banks, credit cards and all that jazz...Mateo de Gil it is.
