There are many who don't like Hillary for political reasons. Personally, I don't think Hillary is a bad person. I do think that Barack Obama is a better candidate than Hillary Clinton.

Universal healthcare is a good idea. Massachusetts makes it mandatory for its citizens to have health insurance. Obama's health care plan will be affordable to all, according to him. I have not read his plan in details.

I think in part. And in part it's carry-over from hatred of Bill. But that doesn't explain it all. She talks like a man, and subconsciously, that upsets people, IMO.

I think it's more than that. I think she is perceived to do whatever it costs to get ahead. Unfairly, this may be irrelevant if she were a man.

Yes, she's also perceived to not have any real values or beliefs other than belief in herself. I just can't get myself to hate her, although I don't particularly like her either. She's just a politician, and she's unfairly penalized for it because she's a woman. It's the same way a man's managerial style at work doesn't always come across so well when used by a female boss.

Where does that come from? I haven't heard her speak that often, but to me she speaks like an educated person, nothing to do with being male or female. Is there a perception in the US that if you are a woman you have to speak like a woman? (Whatever the heck that's supposed to mean) That's just anathema to me, again. I don't understand the management thing either people do manage differently, but I didn't think it was to do with gender so much as cooperative versus adversarial types of techniques. Seems I have a very distorted vision of life I need to speak to Joyce, I'm confused.

Does anyone really think that the democratic party would put that ridiculous Hillary Clinton up for election? Any intelligent, self-sufficient person will disagree with that party, but it's leaders did not get to the top of their heap by being stupid!! If she were to run in the general election, every white guy in the country who hasn't voted in the last thirty years would come to the polls and we would have a landslide victory for whoever else was against her.

I think a lot of people are guided by the personal likeability factor. you have to like the personality of the person you're going for. they have to respresent sincerety, leadership, believability as defined by you. as much as I would like to see a female president, she is not necessarily the right woman, in my opinion. then again, maybe if obama wasn't running, she would be the best choice. all the republicans are bad news.

also, this whole healthcare deal. don't let anyone kid you, first we don't know the exact meaning of what she's proposing. if we actually end up getting 'true' universal healthcare, over the years to come there will be gradual tax burden shifted on to the people. the govt cannot have a sustained system without taxing the people as you can see in canada. people have taxes coming out of their rear ends because of the so-called 'free' stuff.

I just voted. No traffic going or coming and the lines at the polling place moved very quickly, so I'm back in the office in no time! Overheard an interesting conversation among poll workers, "way more new democrats today than old ones". In Jersey, unaffiliated voters can declare affiliation at the polls and vote.
