Hi.. I just got my packet today. I just have some questions and hopefully someone can answer...

Ive been in japan for three times.. the last time i stayed there for exactly 6 months. My question is ... do i need to get a police certificate from japan? since the requirements is you will need to have police certificate when you stayed in a country in 6 months or more. And how can i get police certificate from japan? I hope someone can help me..

07/07/08 - arrived in Las Vegas

07/24/08 - civil wedding

08/05/08 - apply for ssn

08/12/08 - received ssn/card

08/19/08 - sent AOS, EAD, AP

08/27/08 - check cashed

08/30/08 - received notices (AOS, EAD and AP)

09/04/08 - received biometrics appointment letter

09/18/08 - biometrics schedule

11/18/08 - AP Approved (CRIS)

11/18/08 - Card Production Ordered (CRIS)

11/21/08 - AP received

11/28/08 - EAD received

01/23/09 - AOS Interview letter recieved

Yes you need to. There are a number of beneficiaries here who have to obtain police clearance from Japan like you, maybe you can find them and inquire. Try Forum Search . Goodluck :)

Removal of Conditions :

August 16, 2010 - Petition received by USCIS Vermont Center

August 20, 2010 - NOA1 received

October 4, 2010 - Biometrics

January 3, 2011 - Permanent 10 yr. Green Card Received.
