So I woke up this morning hoping to see an approved email in my box, so I wouldn't have to make the trip for a stamp. No such luck. :(

Off I go!

They are just waiting for you to get the stamp. Good luck.

I am mailing my N400 tomorrow. Was hopeing to put the approval email in it.

OH yeah, I figure I will get home and the approval will be sitting right there ..... Murphy's Law!

I wouldn't be surprised. If we had just made the InfoPass appointment for a couple of (business) days later, we would have gotten the news beforehand. Anyway, I hope they are able to tell you something from the computer.

BTW, we received the traditional duplicate card-ordered email this a.m. at about 6:15.

Meh

I think I have some problem on the biometrics. After an email noticing may case was transfered to VSC on Jan 31, it just got only one other email on Feb 22 about my case status "This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred". I notice that everybody have last touch on Feb 25 and like some people say, It was the day Biometrics was transfer to VSC. I began thinking that my Biometrics was not transfer. That become true when i have to do the biometrics the second time last week. For this second time, they just take the print of my forefinger and a photo of mine, not 10 finger like 1 year ago ( officer also explained biometrics valid 15 moths for the reason of my second biometrics) . I notice that some people get touch after biometrics but it was not my case. I got nothing after the biometrics last week and now still waiting. Anybody have some idea about my case? should i call USCIS to verify my biometrics because i did not get any notice right after my second biometrics? I just got 2 email, 1 in Jan 31st and 1 in Feb 22nd. Is the second email good enough to tell that my biometrics was transfered to VSC and the second biometrics good enough for Biometrics ( 1 forefinger print and 1 photo)

I would call USCIS to verify that they got the second biometrics. Good luck!

It's really funny in a sad way....

My wife and I received our Government stimulus check MUCH faster than her Green Card (I would have thought the IRS would be just as slow/slower).

We have our approval but have yet to see any card.

I think the USCIS needs some competition.

Well, it turns out we didn't have to wait 2-3 weeks to actual get the email after being informed verbally of the approval:

Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On May 16, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

Nope, nada. My case is still officially pending. Oh, and she gave me the cheerful fact that it may take 6 more months. Probably the rote response, but hardly hopeful or helpful for my mood. Oh, and the other classic line was that "we transfer stuff all the time between the centres, and it doesn't mean it will speed up processing" Fantastic!

I was only able to get a 6 months stamp. 4 hours driving for a 7 minute visit (I literally walked in, got to an officer, got stamped, walked out).

Ugh. You probably should have brought the CIS policy memo that specifies 12 month stamps. I told Claudia just to whip it out at the start and tell the officer that's what she was there for, the 12 month stamp mentioned in the memo. But I'd bet that in any event you will be approved in the next week or two. The officers won't know anything if it's not in the computer -- we just lucked out. Sort of.

Yeah, I forgot about taking the paper, but I specifically asked for a 12 month stamp and it was a definite no go. I had to give up and stop talking to her because she definitely toed the party line and it was like talking to a brick wall. She got the jist that I was tired of waiting for an approval and made some comment about not worrying because my status is still ok. I replied "I know that and you know that, but people in the real world like employers don't get it, they don't understand the paperwork". When she replied "oh no, that's not true", I almost unloaded a can of "you're full of ####### shall I show you VJ and proof otherwise" whoopa$$, but I refrained and left before getting into trouble!
