I am sick of this too....but what can we do???? nothing....

I always thought that this kind of stuff did not happen in the first world/// sorry but I am disappointed.....

I am frustrated, too. It is so unfair and unjust, but they don't seem to care.

Maybe we should sue them to get our money back. Hehehe..... :diablo:

Hello!

Followed up with USCIS again today and they will be sending me a letter requesting additional documentation.

I called the hotline again today and at first she told me nothing had been sent to me, but when I asked why the officer at my recent INFOPASS appointment had mentioned that something had/would be sent out she put me on hold for 15-20 minutes and then said that I should receive a letter in the next 2-3 weeks.

It sounded very much to me that the officer reviewing my case had requested that a letter be sent to me, but that for some reason it was pending in the system and hadn't actually been sent out. Nobody pressed "print" I guess. =O)

My case shows a new touched date for today, 05/12/2008 in case someone wants to update the list. Guess I'll wait and see what they need from me.

Cheers!

P.S. Anyone with upcoming INFOPASS appointments should perhaps really question the officer about whether there is anything outstanding with the case just to make sure there aren't any hiccups holding things up like with mine.

Well, it's too bad you got an RFE but at least now you know that this is what the hold-up has been. It's actually not a little scary. If you hadn't pushed them (or if the officer at the InfoPass appointment hadn't mentioned the letter) you would conceivably just have been left waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting.

My wife has an InfoPass coming up, I'll make sure she quizzes the officer. Although the second level customer service IO I spoke with last week didn't say anything about an RFE.

Meh

In one way they are good news and in the other way bad news…. I mean, what about if they are holding all of us for interview or RFE???? I do not want to be negative but it is a possibility….I have more stuff to sent if they want, like taxes and bills, etc… but it pisses me off that we still have to wait!!!! Came on!!! Should I call on my case or should I wait????

Although the second level customer service IO I spoke with last week didn't say anything about an RFE.

I had remarked in an earlier post that I spoke with a second level immigration officer a month ago and she said that there was nothing pending/outstanding on the case and that the last action to be taken was the transfer. She mentioned at that time that sometimes the officer reviewing the case doesn't update the National Database right away and to check back in 30 days.

You guys submitted later than I did, so in your cases I wouldn't necessarily suspect a looming RFE. Just alerting you all to the possibility so that if you're still playing the waiting game a month or two from now you start probing a little more vigorously!

Oh yeah. And they also said that the January "touch" date was the day the case was transferred from TSC to VSC and the February "touch" date was the date our biometrics were received from ASC - guess those went in two batches.

Quick question for all.

If we all were to write to our senators about the wait and people who filed after us getting approved, do you think that would help us?

I contacted both of our senators two weeks ago. One sent me a form postcard last week saying they'd look into whatever it was I contacted them about and get back to me. I haven't heard boo from the other one.

So let's put it this way: it can't hurt.

I got a Biometrics appointment yesterday. After showing my receipt for the previous biometrics last year, the officer say that my photo just valid in 15 months. It should be less than 15 months since my previous biometrics ( I did biometrics around March 2007). It is just about 13 months until now. I have no idea what is going on at Vermont. Cdn_in_texas, you and I filed I-751 at a very close time, if what the officer say is true, you could receive a mail from Vermont to do the biometrics again ( no notice by email)

I know that FBI fingerprint checks are good for 15 months. Given that you had your biometrics at the end of March 2007, the only thing I can make out of this is that they don't plan on adjudicating your petition until after the end of June 2008. Or there simply is no sense to be made of it, which would not surprise me given the haphazard way the agency has done things.

No, You don't have to pay again for the biometrics. I had to do mine twice while waiting for my AOS since it took so long. You could always look at it as a two for one sale - although I know we would all prefer a timely processing at the full price :D .

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
