Like many of you, we are now eligible to send in the citizenship petition for my husband.

My question is this: since they seem to be approving the I-751 transfers, will sending in the N-400 somehow delay our I-751? Will they go looking for it wherever it is, and take it out of the pile on someone's desk?

Or will they decide to make us wait until the citizenship interview to adjudicate them both at once?

I just don't want to waste anymore time sitting around more than necessary?

Please share your thoughts!!!!!

Like many of you, we are now eligible to send in the citizenship petition for my husband.

My question is this: since they seem to be approving the I-751 transfers, will sending in the N-400 somehow delay our I-751? Will they go looking for it wherever it is, and take it out of the pile on someone's desk?

Or will they decide to make us wait until the citizenship interview to adjudicate them both at once?

I just don't want to waste anymore time sitting around more than necessary?

I would go ahead and apply for it if citizenship is what you want - that is what we did. (We received the 10 year one month before we were eligible to apply for citizenship.) There won't be a delay from one to the other, they will most likely adjudicate the I-751 now - as they seem to be finally moving along on these and then they'll put you in the N-400 queue. Good Luck! :thumbs:

I also have to say to all my fellow TSC Losers that although we've moved out of the I-751 process, we're with you in spirit. I still check this forum every day and I rejoice each time one of you gets approved. This has been such a journey for all of us. Today we received my husband's N-400 interview notice after applying only 2 months ago. We are shocked, as we had such a delay on the I-751 (more than 10 months).

07/01/2008 : still waiting for a miracle after 390 days of suffering....

Well looks like we are in this crappy boat too. Just found out yesterday the application was transferred from the TSC to Vermont. Very unfair considering a mate of mine did the same thing about a month later for his wife and got the green card within 2 months or so. We can apply for citizenship while this is still being processed, right?

Wow, no offense, but you ARE a TOTAL LOSER! :lol: I've never seen anyone with an TSC NOA1 date of July who wasn't transferred immediately to CSC and then approved in September. I hope you're not kicking yourself that if you had filed even a day or two later than you did, you would have been approved 6-7 months ago (I'm assuming you sent yours in on June 28 or thereabouts since your NOA1 date of July 1 is a Sunday). Anyway, welcome to our little list . . . .

Yeah I am not sure on the date but I could have sworn it was in July since she got the green card in August. I could be wrong though it could have been in June. I should have let my wife procrastinated more. Oh well. So we can apply for citizenship even if our green card is still in limbo land. And we can apply 90 days in advance too. That is good news. Then maybe we will actually get her citizenship before the bloody green card.

I can just see that today nobody will get approved..... it is already 9:31 am..... :(

We're queued up in Vermont as well now. Not that it matters. We have 10 more weeks until Nani is eligible to file for citizenship. Then a new waiting game will begin. ** the USCIS.

Got the email notification today.

Apparently they are transfering more people from July to Vermont… beautiful!!! More crowded…. And now that I had same kind of hope….. :(
