Hi, Are there any other Feb filers at VSC still waiting for their NOA2? I'm at a loss here as the six month time is almost up. I called customer service to follow up on a request for status that I put in for 60 days ago and they haven't heard anything so they re-issued a request for status from VSC (and they've asked me to wait another 45 days for the VSC to respond even though I waited 60 days for the first request for status and got nothing). I mentioned to the woman on the line that I'm at the six month limit and she responded that the processing is at least up to one year for a I129F.

I don't know what to do. I've signed up on the website and I haven't seen any touches since early May when they processed a change of address. My fear is this thing is lost in the mix.

Does anyone know of any other way to contact VSC without going through that customer service line?

Thanks,

Bumping this up for you. Can you call your state congressman about this? That's what I would do unless anyone comes along with a better idea. Good luck.

I called the 800 number, and they said they cannot look into yet, because it is not past the processing date yet. The website says the "current" processing date is January 17, but that is 1.5 months old. But the guy I talked to said they can't look into it until they update the processing times.

Yeah, you're not going to get much calling the customer service line right -- they're saying the processing timeline is Jan 15 even though the site hasn't been updated in more than a month. As I mentioned, I was told by someone on the customer service line that these things can take more a year for the NOA2 - which is a little drastic I hope...

I did contact my Senator's office (McCain in AZ) and they seemed really helpful and willing to find out about my case. Taking the advice of others on this forum, I would suggest the same. It can't hurt our cause.

Good luck.

Ok, thanks. Since you mentioned McCain, I assume I should contact my U.S. Senator? I thought I had read somewhere else about contacting my state senator.

Btw, what does it mean exactly to "be in security check"?

Thanks.

Call 800-375-5283, then hit 1,2,2,4,2,1; enter your receipt number; hit 1,1. (There is no need to wait for all of the recorded options to be read before you hit these buttons.) The recording will almost certainly say that "additional evidence is required," but don't necessarily believe it.

When the phone rings, you should be speaking with an actual Immigration Officer (not a clueless front-line screener who can tell you only what you already know). If the recording said that "additional evidence is required," ask the ImmOff exactly this: "Why does the recording say that I have a Request For Evidence?" He/she will almost certainly tell you that there's no record of an RFE; thank him/her profusely.

Then (or first), ask exactly this: "Will you please tell me exactly where in the Division my file is?" He/she will tell you. Then say exactly this: "I'm aware that several files received after mine have already been approved, and the USCIS website clearly says 'we process applications in the order we receive them.' Will you please send an e-mail to the floor, and ask the person at the ____ station [whatever the ImmOff told you] to please hand-carry the file to the next station.

try this, i hope it helps. good luck

Hello, to answer your question, I would call your State Senator for your case. Good luck.

I too have no idea what 'security check' is......Does anyone else know this term and what it means?

Thanks.
