wooohoo i only had to hold about 2 minutes when i called at 7:35am ...but i got kelly, and she said our petition got there on 5/6 YAY!!! but it hasn't left yet...on another note...we got the NOA2 hardcopy in the mail today and kevin got his notification that he's passed his electrician certification exams today! YAAAAAAAAAY! smile.gif

Oh that's great! You had to wait so long for the NOA2 but then all of a sudden everything at once! Congrats to Kevin for his exams. Isn't it funny how good things (and bad things) happen all at once.

We have not heard from the Embassy and no package 3 yet, I have sent and email to embassy on Friday to check the status, Friday was a holiday in Russia, if I do not hear anything from them by tomorrow I'll call them up $12.00 per call

Good luck to everyone

That's frustrating when you've gone through the US side of it but then they don't get their packet 3 from the embassy. Pete was supposed to call London today to find out why he never got it. The other thing that's holding him up is the police report -- 5 weeks waiting so far. It will feel good to break through these barriers -- I know what you mean about the $12.00 per call---yeeeeks. It gets expensive.

you call also call Department of State to find out the status and if packet 3 has been sent out yet.

Hope that helps.

And once it does get to London things from there move quickly

HE HAS IT!! :bonk: After a phone fight last night he called London today. They said he should have it -- HE says he checked the mail and there it was. (It seems kind of co-incidental to me but at least he does have it.)

That got him going and so he ran around today getting his information, new passport photos, talking with his lawyer and also his doctor AND he even called Scotland Yard to see why the police report has taken 5 weeks.

He said the Scotland Yard person was very nice and will expedite his police report so that he will have it in a week. PROGRESS!

Congrats Lois! I hope Pete filed for the newest (ACPO) police report...it should only take 10 days or less from what I've seen, and if he didn't get that one, the embassy isn't accepting the old type anymore.

Called the NVC tonight and the woman told me our petition left yesterday!!!! It is moving! Now I've gotta read over that thread and figure out the tracking thing!

Thank You! It's the new police report that he's waiting for, thank goodness I found that out on here. I don't know why it takes so long for things to get to him but he did explain why packet 3 took 17 days to get from London--the Embassy had cello-taped it and it was stuck to something else and traveled all around England!

Glad to see that you have some action too. (as long as the Embassy doesn't use cello-tape and yours goes traveling like ours did you should be dealing with fun-fun-fun packet 3 pretty soon.)

Keep us posted!!!!

cello tape is the work of the devil...haha that must be why my nick name is 'the tape queen!' Kevin always has trouble opening my packages because I like to make sure they are secure and sealed....using the dhl trick, the package that my petition is in arrived in UK at 3:59am...wow REALLY fast! that's not to say it's in london yet, but it's at least in the country! kevin sent for his police report on tuesday...i also have been nagging him to get his medical records from his doctor...i guess i need to get myself in gear as well! i already have arrangements with my employer for my letter from them...i sent for and received my tax transcripts in march (wishful thinking back then), have the I-134 filled out already just have to print it out and get it signed and notarized....as for recent paystubs, i'm wondering if it has to be the actual paystub....my employer has all my paystubs available to me online...i wonder if printing that out would be acceptable...that way he could take the most recent ones with him and i wouldn't have to wait till the last minute to send all the paperwork i've got here for him....it truly is going fast now, but that's ok with us!

I was extremely surprised how fast it went once it reaches London. its nice knowing you have some control over it once its there and sending back packet 3. I had to bug Damian so much to get his medical records and once he did he was thankful I bugged so much cause he ended up not needing any jabs and saving money. it took about a week to get them once he actually phoned! and the police report only took 4 days which we were very surprised about.

Now I'm bugging him to get his International Drivers Permit so we can finally sign his car over to him in his name. that is if PA can make up their minds if they'll let him or not!!

Now I'm starting to stress about getting married and AOS..

Hopefully things go fast for the both of you!

if you find out stuff about PA driving, would you mind passing that info on? (I'm up by Bloomsburg, if you've ever heard of it haha) Kevin drove my car here the last time he was here...and he has plans to buy a car once he gets here...i thought he'd be ok at least for the 90 days that the K1 is valid....when i talked to my insurance agent, they told me i could just put him on mine once he got here and we are married? dhl is saying that the package is in london-heathrow right now...waiting for the noa2 and waiting for this is like night and day!!!! looking at your timeline, it now looks more possible for him to be here for july 4th! i know everyone's case is different...i guess i'd better get a package in order to send out to him! you are so lucky to be on to thinking about the next step and knowing that Damian will be there in just over 2 weeks!

Bloomsburg! we go to the bloomsburg fair every year. I live right outside of Harrisburg. I did tons of research with the license what I found out so far is... He has to get an international drivers permit.. which you just go to a post office in England to get and I believe it costs about $10 and is good for a year. there's a few things that confuse me tho so i wrote to penndot on friday so hopefully they'll get back to me in the next few days and i will give you all the details. I know that he can't get a license until you get married because you have to show the marriage license. so I will keep you posted once i get an answer from penndot.

London should have your case tomorrow! that's exciting!! hopefully they still have their butts in gear and get that packet 3 out to you very fast. I was so surprised how fast things went for us. I called DOS to make sure they got my packet 3 and to my surprise they scheduled the interview date and that came and gone so fast! I was stressing about all the paperwork and sent him so much and he didn't end up needing alot at all. just the I-134 and pay check stubs. all that work and all they needed was the stuff i didn't put together (the co-sponsor did) haha oh well its really an anti-climax! best of luck to you!! Its nice seeing a fellow Pennsylvanian/Britain..
