Hello fellow Feb filers --

I'm a newbie here; signed up because I was worried...

I filed Feb 26th (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765 bonanza!) via USPS express to Chicago lockbox, tracking shows receipt on Feb 27th, but no word at all since...checks not cashed, nothing. Should I be panicking right now?

Thanks in advance! Hoping that this week brings tons of action for you all, too!

Caroline

Ours was received in Vermont on the 21st of Feb. There hasn't been so much as a touch

since then. :( From what I've been reading, it could be soon but he's getting really discouraged over there in England AGAIN. Hi to all Fabulous February Filers!

Don't worry about that. I sent our petition in mid-January and we were approved late February. We were never touched at all, just approved in a month and a half.

Nobody wanted to touch us.

As you probably know, there is nothing you can do but wait it out at this point. There are still people who filed in January who haven't been approved yet. My advise is just keep yourself busy...........the day will come.

Silly question - what does "touched" mean?

Every time a USCIS employees physically touches your case file (even if just to move it from one shelf to another), they have to scan the bar code, and it comes up as a "touch" on the online system.

SCREAMING and GRINNING ear to ear because I just got the NOA2.

Just spoke with Pete last night by phone and he sounded down and bored -- "can't get there soon enough." Before I went to bed I checked the USCIS site and it was still received and pending. Not even touched. But I knew from here that it's been taking about 39 days so I was thinking maybe soon........

I never did get the email that I had signed up for telling me but our lawyer called this morning and she'd had an email from Vermont. I've been frantically trying to call Pete but can't get through. His computer is down too so he doesn't KNOW YET. Wait until he finds out. Somebody do the numbers for me -- I'm too excited to count. Was it about 40 days?
