I'm not really sure WHAT Iraq has to do with 9/11. Absolutely nothing. There is no link, it has been proven that there is no link. No WMD's, no nothing. We haven't even finished our "job" in Afganistan yet, Iraq is a clusterf#ck right now, and now we're considering invading Iran. Just because the US is a global power doesn't mean it needs to go around invading soverign nations.

What do you think 9/11 was? The odd suicide bomber????? They have a stated goal to take this fight to us. Don't forget that they declared war on US!!!! If we don't stop them now they WILL be on our streets!! I am trying not to get personal here and I want a debate on honest veiwpoints but let us not forget that we were attacked!!!!! And they said and have continued to say that they will attack us again!!

Don't want to get personal either - just want to understand why you think there was a connection between Iraq and 9/11, and why we are targetting Saddam as opposed to the many other dictators out there in the world?

And I'll ask again - what do you think about the actions of previous administrations with regards Iran and Iraq - do you think our intervention did any good or has contributed to an increasingly unstable world situation.

Again - we kick out the iranian president and install the monarchy as part of a strategy to control Iran's oil-fields. The people overthrow the US-installed monarchy and install an fundamentalist theocracy.

Again - we supplied Saddam Hussein with WMD during the 70's and early 80's and encouraged him to go to war with Iran, a war that cost the lives of over a million people, in no small part due to the collapse of their attempts to control Iran. Unless the administration was hideously incompetant, they knew exactly they type of man that they were supporting, don't you think?

What stand are we taking against Al Qaeda by attacking a country that had nothing to do with 9/11?

Saddam is not a particularly revered figure in the islamic world - his political philosophy was more secular, styled as it was after his personal idol, Josef Stalin. Al Qaeda's philosophy is based in fundamentalist islam - totally different and completely incompatible.

All of those things were mistakes that past presidents made. That much is certain. But the only way to combat this enemy is to take it to him. Al-quida WAS in Iraq. Hussein was funding them. Iraq did have WMD's that he hid and moved to Syria just before the war. As far as Iran goes I hope and pray that they are next. We need to clean out these vermin before they attack us again.

Al-Qaida is everywhere. We have to go where they are. Right now they are in Iraq so that is where we need to be. I would prefer to fight them there than on our own streets.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 we went to war with them because they supposedly had WMD!

If we go with that whole idea that there are terrorists there and we need to go to war against the entire country to wipe out any pockets of terrorism....

But there is no conclusive proof whatsoever of WMD in Iraq, because UN inspectors were pulled out before they were allowed to finished their work. There is however, CLEAR DEFINITIVE proof that Bush had a premeditated plan to go to war with Iraq regardless of any actual evidence being presented.

So you see what we are doing right now as being entirely different to the US' past imperialist adventures? You believe that the war we are fighting is a grand cause to promote freedom and democracy, not simply for economic benefit and profit?

Bushco will never get the support to go to war with Iran unilaterally, not only would it amount to political suicide for the republican party, it would likely bankrupt to the US to such a degree that it wouldn't soon recover. They'll have to work with the UN this time.

There is no price for freedom. How much did the terrorist attacks on our country cost us? How much is it still costing us? There is good vs evil in this world and a lot of our "allies" are simply not faithful allies because of their own corruption with these dictator/terroist regimes. We should be helping in Africa. That is a biased activist site, which would indicate the numbers and information presented there are questionable and should be investigated further before putting any stock in them.

You wouldn't turn to an anti-immigration site to get true and acturate facts on the immigration process would you?
