I have so many questions about this whole process I dont even know where to start .... I read one thing, think I have it down. Then I read something else and Im confused again.

I miss my baby so much, and Im so afraid that were gonna get turned down... The stamps on his passport are kinda faded and you can hardly read them.!! He dosnt have copies of his plane tickets to the US (where we met) or Canada (where we met up again last summer)

The only proof that I have is a Bus Ticket from Omaha NE to Toronto Canada.... But I live in Dallas (we drove to Omaha to visit family before I went to Toronto to meet up with him) ... so even that looks shady...

We do have some pictures together (4) and e-mails and phone records (which are from "Vonage" telephone service, so it looks like someone just typed them out....

Geesh. This is the hardest thing I have ever been thru !!!!! I feel like Crying every single day

Thanks for any responses

Are the passport stamps within 2 years and at least legible (hit the dark button on the copier)? Any evidence you can provide that has you two together, at the same place and the same time is paramount. Look for relevant credit card statements, from your SO, since he was the traveler in this case. Perhaps he paid for things along the journey, to include the airline tickets? Is he a member of an airline mileage club, enabling him to get air travel records relevant here?

Chat records, e-mails, phone statements and so forth are secondary evidence proving an ongoing relationship. These will be useful at the Embassy stage.

Channel your frustration into a search for evidence. You will be surprised at what will turn up! :)

Can't you contact the airline to request a copy of a previous itinerary? Perhaps the airlines website can provide you that information. As for the photos, emails, etc. you should be fine. At this point in the process, the main thing is to prove that you've met at least once during the past two years. Therefore your bus tickets, and hopefully his airline information should be enough.

Wish you the best.

ALL things work TOGETHER for GOOD!

Well the pictures are helpful. It would be hard to say you haven't met....as long as you can put one of you in the same place as the other in the last two years...you should be okay. At this point you have less to prove that you will for the interview...just remember to save everything between now and then.....Best of luck.

I wouldnt worry too much at this point, but start collecting EVERYTHING you can POSSIBLY think of for your interview at the consulate. THAT is where proof of your relationship will REALLY make a difference. If they get your petition and feel they want more evidence now, they will let you know. Good luck to you!!!! I KNOW first hand how stressful this all is, we ALL do!

The poster's concerns are about proving that they have met within the past two years.

Also note that pictures are secondary evidence. The primary evidence that you want is things like boarding passes (not itineraries), passport stamps, hotel receipts with both names on.

Ditto on everything William33 said. Hit the "darker" button on the photocopier. Present the passport stamps as evidence regardless of whether they are completely readable.

As for the bus ticket, I'm assuming your SO lives in Toronto? Does the bus ticket list your name or credit card info (like the last 4 numbers)? As long as it's verifiable that YOU were somehow at the same place as him...

I also included an affidavit (signed statement) from someone who spent time with us while we were together. Don't know how much that helps, but if you can get that, include it.

Good luck!
