has anyone received any returned bills yet from NVC or an updated bill yet? They told me 2 weeks ago (somewhere around there) and i have not received it yet. I sent in the "old bill" last week of December.

Personally, I think I should have gotten it by now. But I want to compare my results with other people before jumping the gun and annihalating ppl who may be stealing my mail. Thanks

i did................ jan 15 turned around and sent in the 400 and they received it jan 29th. Now I am waiting on the I864 and the ds230... the reason is strange. with lawyer cases , they send both bills first and then both packages. there is NO back and forth or 3032 and choice of agent. Everything including the ds230 and i864 is all done at the same time. they process concurrently and then finish concurrently and then everything goes to the embassy. Algiers is an appoinment consulate so all paper work is done at nvc long before it ever goes to the embassy

yeah...dont get me started on THAT one. I don't think I'm going to have a s.i.l much longer if all the stuff she does to me keeps up. She only doing everything to me because my husband is not here and he has no clue what is going on and he does not understand what little he does know. I suspect that she is gong to blackmail me with my husband's immigratin papers since I don't give her as much money as she thinks I should. :/ I have tow ait til my cell phone minutes are free so I can call nvc and see WHEN they sent the bill/rejected paymnet. So til then, I am stirring.....

both bills were sent out december 17 and only the immigrant visa fee bill was rejected. Another thing to keep in mind is this, you are going to need to send 2 passport size pics with the ds230. they changed that rule JANUARY 29th 2008 and no one knows this and they are getting Rfes like crazy for these passport pics and they changed the rules midstream. Trust me ITs a mEss

this is the only part of nvc where having a lawyer helps. I am at nvc 2 months after you and both my fee bills are in and both my other packages will process concurrently. this is where the 3032 slows people down alot on cr1s . Even though my i 864 is not in yet. it will process simultaneously with the the ds230

yeah I did a bad thing by not doing both I864 and ds3022 at same time. well regardless it did not amtera cuz I had to dhl my husband the forms for him to sign and wait for it to get back to me. I did the I864 and have not heard anything back on it yet, no rfe noting. When I called 2 weeks ago only issue they told me was my ds2032 bill had been rejected.

Hm....I'm not going through a lawyer. But still, if you were able to send in your 400 right away? They told me I have to wait for them to send me the bill cuz you cant send in the money without the bill. but I have not gotten my bill yet.

I'm really REALLY peeved righ tnow. Wahrania since you are ahead of me, you gotta keep letting me know these bogus changes. thanks a bunch for letting me know about the photos! When he left, we took 2 copies of passport photos. One for the I130 form for uscis and another copy for "just in case" purpose. So I must send them my last copy.

I hope nowhere else in the process needs passport sized photos???? Cuz we have none now:(

make copies of the passprt photos so you have them if you need them

dont be silly...make copies of your passport pics at cvs or walgreens

a couple of things.... you need to start collecting things... police report.... etc so you have them ready.... Also this whole passport picture issue has really pissed me off. No one told me about the change. i actually found out reading the nvc forum and noticed everyone was getting rfed for passport pictures and then found out they changed the rules january 29th and never bothered to tell anyone. Its really frustrating. Look.... here they send out a bill and then change the price 2 weeks later without telling you or me and look now we both have a one month delay. I also lost a month when the fees changed because they sent my package back. its just infuriating... i mean both of us are done with uscis. uscis is rfe ing people to death and what used to take 4 months is now taking 7 sometimes 8 months....ad people are getting their k3s cancelled......and then gettig stuck for 5 months at nvc...filers from2 years ago completely cannot relate to the enormous delays we are having and trust me , you and i are faster than the poor people coming behind us. I can only HOPE that the fact that I have been sitting at NVC since December and out of uscis since November will somehow make my case turn a little faster. I am also a high risk pregnancy and dealing with alot of really hard stuff all alone, namely horrible chronic asthma and being alone at this time is past anything i would have dreamed of. I didnt do a damn thing wrong.... and by the time he gets here... I will have gone through most of my pregnancy alll alone, something I wish on no one. you and I are exactly the same time frame and path so I will let you know where you are at. Your I864 is there but I think your ds230 and mine will process concurrently and remember you and me do not have to deal with AOS like everyone else. ITs a longer wait,,,but according to everything I am hearing, very worth it in the long run
