I got my visitor's visa in 2006, after being here for a while my boyfriend proposed and we decided to get married, we didn't want to live apart any more.

Now we are working on I-130 and I-485.

1. Can we file them separetely or do we have to file them together?

2. I have to have my medical exam for I-485 package, but the closest date available is March 31. Can we file I-130 now and I-485 as soon as the medical exam is done?

3. Or do we have to wait I-130 approval to file I-485?

They must be filed together...... call around all the civil surgeons in your area to see if you can be seen sooner.... if not the file the paperwork without the medical all that will happen is you will get a RFE for the medical to be sent.... by that time you will have had the medical and have the sealed envelope all ready to send when they request it...
