Amber, you're the one who made this topic & asked a question based on superficial requests by brides. Then you added your own experience which was relevant.

If you don't want ppl talking about it, don't bring it up! I don't see anyone fighting...I see ppl responding.

Until I read this thread, I never would have thought to place attractive people in a wedding versus people I cared about. Wow, truly, my eyes are opened.

She chose her bridesmaids in a way that many people probably do and was just honest about it. I mean, hell, what's to being a bridesmaid? I expect her friends understand that being a bridesmaid doesn't make you more or less of a friend, nor should it. However, if you think not being a bridesmaid is a personal slight, I guess you might think it is somehow more important how a bridesmaid is picked. To me, that kind of thing is more grade school, I mean, to have 6 or 7 bridesmaids, with all the costs involved just to prevent someone feeling left out? Grow up already!

I didn't say fighting I said bickering. If it makes your day more fulfilling continue then.

Fighting/bickering...whatever, it's really all the same.

It doesn't make my life more fulfilling, but at the same time...I gotta say, I'm a bit surprised because it is v interesting to hear someone say that. If your friends didn't mind being cut out of the wedding cos they are mingers, then I really feel quite sorry for them as it seems they have no self esteem to even get angry to realize that they should deserve more in a friend than what you've given.

Sorry, but that's the way I see it.

I do think sometimes the net is taken too seriously, but when ya put it out there, the only way ppl gauge ya is from your opinions and experiences that you share. This one kinda left me feeling bad for your friends. And also made me thankful to have the wonderful friends I have....

Not sure if you are talking to me or not, but picking my 6 bridesmaids had nothing to do with leaving them out. I am the one that didn't want to have any of them not standing beside me since they are my best friends and family that I have spent my life with.

Besides, you don't have a clue how much I'm spending do you?

10/04/2007 Small private wedding!

04/19/2008 Big fancy shmancy wedding!

AOS Timeline:

10/18/2007 Sent entire AOS, EAD, AP package to Chicago

10/19/2007 Package received in Chicago- signed for by V Bustamante

10/25/2007 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, and AP.

10/26/2007 Check cashed.

11/28/2007 Biometrics appointment in Denver.

12/17/2007 EAD card production ordered!

12/27/2007 EAD card arrives.

12/31/2007 AP approved.

01/07/2008 AP received.

02/01/2008 AOS interview in Denver. APPROVED!

02/11/2008 Green Card received in mail!

Done until July 09' !

I don't think Amber is shallow as a person. I suspect she and her friends are very close because she is an honest person and she probably attracts equally honest and laid back friends.

LOL, yeah, the whole concept of bridesmaids is pretty lame. Still, if someone wants 50, they have 50. If they want to pick them based on how pretty they are, let them. I don't think how one chooses one's bridesmaids tells anyone anything about what kind of person one really is, unless as I said, the whole bridesmaid concept is somehow out of proportionally important, that's when it seems rile people up. I think spending loads of money on a wedding is dumb, but that is purely my opinion.

nah sister, she was drunk..and i took her home cause i was not drinking ..was on call...and ended up...telling her she was better than the bride etc...i was a low-life chop in my youth
