yup as I said somewhere earlier they all now know and no one even cares. they all thought it was funny. everyone just laughed and was like yup sounds like something you'd do and then that was the end of it

I don't think Amber is shallow as a person. I suspect she and her friends are very close because she is an honest person and she probably attracts equally honest and laid back friends. Good luck to her. I also believe that when these photos become dated, as Rebaccajo said, they all do, she'll find that funny too. I would also imagine, that although the 'wedding party' is made up of beautiful people, she has pictures of everyone who attended and treasures them all equally.

I guess some of us are judging this book by its cover as well and not looking what's underneath the superficiality

Did you pick your friends because of their looks for this eventuality? One has to wonder what you would have done had there been no beautiful people available. I'll put this attitude down to the vagaries of youth.

I have friends that aren't nice to look at I just didn't chose them for my wedding party. I had them do things like getting people to sign the guestbook. I'm sure it's just because I'm young and silly. I never said it was the right thing to do. Neil thought I was insane but just went along with it.

Your profile says you are 23. Seems plenty old enough to let go of your "young and silly" behavior don't you think? When you mature someday I'm sure you won't be so proud to be so shallow.

If it was all honesty and laid out there, that'd be one thing, but it was an 'I picked the names out of a hat' excuse. If there's nowt to feel bad about, why lie? And tbh, if your friend is 'too ugly' to be in one's wedding, why be friends at all?

Actually, maybe everyone here should hide our personal photos so that we're all not deemed too 'ugly' to talk to. (jk)

As far as I can see, she involved everyone in the wedding, she just wanted pretty bridesmaids. I don't see how that's so heinous. Maybe it is, but I don't see it and her friends don't seem to think it's as big a deal as some of you are making out either. They probably just think, 'that's Amber for you' and carry on. Now, if she was shallow in all her opinions she probably wouldn't have any friend. She she also said doesn't pick her friends on looks either, just the bridesmaids.

It must be great to have the extrodinary power to look into a person's psyche through an internet connection! I sincerely envy you...because to me, it's words on a page is all I have to go on in forming an opinion, I retract my erronous thinking in that she really is being honest here and I defer to the higher knowledge of PH.

Why do you people care so much? It wasn't your wedding, you weren't involved in any way, to you I should just be words on a screen not even a real person. No use in bickering over something that doesn't personally involve you. It's the internet it's not real life. Who cares? The people involved didn't care so I don't know why you should care so much. Amber just seems proud to be shallow, and that is what disturbs me. Saying "that's just Amber" doesn't make it any better. I never get involved in these types of threads but something about it just really irks me. I personally can't understand choosing bridesmaids by looks. I have 6 bridesmaids which I think is a very large number but they are my nearest and dearest and I couldn't leave any of them out. To choose someone to be a witness to your marriage based on if they are pretty or not is just sad. Amber talks about choosing her bridesmaids the way a high schooler would choose what table to sit at during lunch.
