Hi (F)

I read about this somewhere on VJ site..but once again can't find my answer. I hope someone can advise me on this.

I'm filling out these Packet 3 forms (draft only) prior to flying up to get it done together with my husband. For the DS230, DS156 & DS157 what address should I put in questions asking present or current address. Where he lives there is only a street name. He has a mailbox too. I updated this info (mailbox) when his case was at NVC.

Also.. Where it ask for "Province", I left it blank. Just put City name and Country-Jordan

I know Im going to post more as I move along with these forms...

When I fill in an address, I use the nearest municipality as a "state" - its' how they route the mail. ( so, a big central post office is that "state". )

So - for example you're using "Kufr Yuba" -

Whatever Street

Kufr Yuba

Irbid

Jordan

People without a street name even (there's those too!), just put the town, municipality, Jordan.

I imagine the same goes for other countries too.

Usually, the local post-guy knows them - it's almost always the case for little towns & areas without street names. It works out.

The moral of my story: Stick with someone who matches your own culture.

( This coming from an Arab who married an Arab from overseas... go figure. )

In my experience with Jamaica, we put

His name

White House

White Sands P.O.

St. James

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Put exactly what you would put if you mailed him something. Foreign embassies are used to it.

If he has a different mailing address then his home address and he won't get his mail unless you use it, you should definately put it down. Later in the process, he will get mail sent to him and they need to be able to find him.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
