He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper. He is McCain.

John McCain once ... cursed out another colleague in front of 20 senators and staff members, questioning the senator's grip on immigration legislation.

...

McCain has battled his fellow senators for more than two decades in a fashion that has been forceful and sometimes personal.

...

"The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine," Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), also a senior member of the Appropriations panel, told the Boston Globe recently. "He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."

...

"John was very rough in the sandbox," said former senator Rick Santorum (R-Pa.), who is outspoken in his opposition to McCain's candidacy. "Everybody has a McCain story. If you work in the Senate for a while, you have a McCain story. . . . He hasn't built up a lot of goodwill."

I haven't missed a chance to vote since 1976 but if my parties choice is McCain I just might stay home. I cannot justify voting for him even if it means a dem president.

No I will not. I will probably vote for the congress elections and just leave the presidential portion blank.

<shrug>, so what? I didn't like his first go at immigration reform but I'm not a one issue man either....Hillary isn't my idea of "good change" and Obama is too far left, and frankly I'm still trying to figure out how this local guy got so far in the primaries. No record, no experience........What's next? Taking a cadet from West Point and elevating him to General and have him replace Petraeus.....It's scary the way we chose presidents!

Ditto for me too!

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995
