trying to organize my paperworks/evidence

Hi... I went to Target today to buy a notebook or a binder to put the evidence in there. I couldn't really find anything that is flexible enough. I ended up getting a 1/2 inch three ring binder.. Is this okay? I read somewhere that it has be small enough so it can go through the window when we get to the embassy.. Or does anyone have any idea where I should buy one? I tried going to Office Depot didn't find anything... Please let me know

Okay when I was there at the embassy a couple months ago, the window as I recall is about 2 inches opening. You can always pass a little at a time if you have a lot of info and they will use an envelope for it all. The binder idea is cool but not sure if that will work with their envelopes.

I just stapled/pasted my pieces of evidence separately ( pictures, tickets etc) on a short bondpaper , 10 pages of each ( with one page as cover with label) no more no less and just stapled it like a very thin notebook. It passed easily in the pre-screener window.

Thank you everyone for all your replies.. I'll go to Staples tomorrow. I had each evidence or email put in a sheet protector. So that sheet protector is a three hole punch so that's why I bought the three ring binder. If this doesn't work I'll go to Kinkos so they can put my invidence in maybe 3 separate notebooks. Anyone aware of the GBC binding? This is use for a Law Firm. I was thinking of doing a GBC binding on my own. But I'm just worried if the CO asked me to take out a few evidence then it'll be harder though I can just take it out from the sheet protector. Ok I'm soooo over stressing about this.. Sorry you guys..

I brought everything on the plane with me in my carry-on bag. I had tons or emails and chat logs, but they only asked for a couple of photos and letters (snail-mail). You never know what they'll ask for, so label the tabs, pockets, or envelopes so you can find it fast.

Dont make it hard for you and to the CO. just make sure that you know where to get ANY documents that the CO might ask you to show. When I had my interview, I labeled and colored coded the folders so its easier for me to pull out the files. Yes, I agree to separate the original and photocopies. Make a folder for photocopies only.

I just used regular folders... labeled each one of them for easy finding... bound documents with paper clips but didn't attach it to folders in case the pre-screener asks me to remove it from the folders (which she did).

u can buy any folder or envelope you want coz it won't be asked from you. You will just put/file your papers for easy access when the pre-screener asks any of it.

E.g. the pre-screener asks for the ITR, you don't need to give the folder, just get it(ITR) from your file and that's it. Same thing with the other proofs.

ohh, so you gave the documents without the folder?!!

my fiance used a puncher on the left margin of our I-134 form and then used a vinyl fastener to secure it in a transparent folder. oh no....

now the form has holes on the left margin, is this ok? maybe its just me being paranoid, but do you think we have to redo our I-134?

During my interview, the pre-screener asks the documents one at a time. The tabs and the labels of the folders that I work so hard to organize didnt matter at all. She only asked to remove 5 pictures in the album that I brought which is like half an inch thick.
