Personally, if you kill your family you are a nutcase and need to be locked up or fried to protect society. If you can kill your blood relatives, I am sure you will have no problem taking out unrelated individuals. Clearly Im not very "PC" but when has "PC" ever prevented this kind of thing?

Something I can agree with, for the following reason: it creates an environment of liars that say one thing an actually mean another. Sometimes some readers on VJ here can relate to what I'm talking about. That's reaaaally pathological and quite visible in this country. But that's not really weakening as it is just hiding things.

What are we talking about here? Those bizarre ideas that words should be cleansed of masculinity and the like? Or something more profound? I don't get how the notion of PC can be universally applied to a person either. The may have some opinions that are or are not PC but that doesn't make them as a person PC or non PC does it?

It's simple really it is the mind set of the PC crowd that we must be afraid to damage johnnies fragile little psyche and so he must be allowed to do anything that comes into his mind and not suffer any consquences. So parents cannot disipline without repercussions so they don't, schools cannot disipline and so no one can learn. Moral absolutes are not allowed because someone might become offended if they don't think the same.

Funny isn't back in the day when I was a youngster I knew my place as did everyone else my age. Talk back to an adult I don't think so. Even contemplate the thought of attacking an adult, are you nuts? It's called respect and in children respect is driven not given. I know I am not PC and very out of trend, but I do know that when understand the authority of adults and the adults have no fear to fairly enforce that authority things go a lot beter for everyone.

So what you're saying is, if your parents hadn't made sure you knew your place, you might have killed your family? Is that how "simple" it is?

No.What he's saying is that back in the day, when we had discipline,we would get a whack,get sent to our rooms mumbling "I hate you,I hate you," under our breaths,but we would never even contempate doing something so horrible.Nowadays there is no discipline so when little Johnny gets out of hand and someone finally decides to do something about his bad ###,it's much too late.
