Thanks, Caro. :D How are you doing? Haven't seen you post much these days?

I'm good, thanks for asking! :D I've been looking for a job and interviewing, so that's taking up some of my time, but it's for a good thing :star: Send some good luck my way! I need it!

Saludos,

Caro

Sweet Steve!! My GE washer died (don't buy GE appliances ever it turns out) so I picked up a Kenmore washer for $50 on Craisgslist. Woot!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Thanx for sharing this Mr. Steve, I definitely need to start preparing

Sure. I'd recommend looking at new cribs in the stores - to see what they are going for, their features and quality so that when you find one in Craigslist, you'll have an idea what to look for. This crib is nicer than the most expensive one we've found in Target.

I've also seen some high quality (Eddie Bauer) car seats for about $50. Good luck. :star:

It isn't recommended that you purchase a second hand baby seat for a car. You don't know the history of it and if it has been in an accident it may not be as solid as it looks. Don't believe the sellers either if they say it is fine (or even if it looks fine to you); this is one purchase that MUST be brand new.

Edit:

What about car seats that you find at yard sales and second hand stores?

It is unsafe to purchase a seat from anybody that you do not know very, very well. This includes second hand stores, yard sales, newspapers, websites such as freecycle or Craigslist, etc. Unless you purchase a brand new car seat or purchase/borrow one from a very close friend or family member, it would be impossible to know the complete history of the seat. There would be no way to know if it has been in an accident, whether the harness & cover have been properly cared for, if it is recalled or expired (this information would not be available if the labels are missing).

In the UK they have been campaigning against used baby car seats for years. Don't do it, Steven.
