We found this ad last night. I called the number and the woman said she had just posted it 2 minutes earlier! We bought the crib and it's beautiful! She originally paid over $300. After she met and talked with Jinky, she ended up giving us blankets and baby toys, all in great condition. :)

Cool! I just discovered this site a few days ago. I am surprised I need heard of it before then. I used to be a huge eBayer, at one point. But hated paying those high insertions rates when things did not sell.

Jeffery AND Alla.

0 kilometers physically separates us!

Please check it all out for safety!!!!! Also, I would not use the toys unless they are washable, FWIW.

( I used to work in a baby store)

I did. They were really nice folks that didn't need the crib anymore. The conversion parts are still unopened in the original box and there's a seal of approval from an independent safety group.

Sure. I'd recommend looking at new cribs in the stores - to see what they are going for, their features and quality so that when you find one in Craigslist, you'll have an idea what to look for. This crib is nicer than the most expensive one we've found in Target.

I've also seen some high quality (Eddie Bauer) car seats for about $50. Good luck. :star:

I found a particular 1960's art deco desk lamp I have been searching for on craigslist for $30 (the ad had photos posted and a phone number). Unfortunately it is in Lenaxa, KS and I live in Houston, TX. :(

The guy e-mailed me back that he would be willing to ship it to me for an extra $15. He said if I still wanted it I could mail him a check to his house address. It looks legit, but I'm not really sure I want to risk $45. It is tempting though because I have been looking for this particular lamp for a while.

Losing $45 wouldn't kill me, but getting ripped off is not something that I want to happen either. Should I take the chance to get something I want that I cannot readily buy elsewhere (since it is no longer sold new)?

What would you guys do?

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

I'd do it, but I'd get as much personal information from him as possible. :)

Peejay - the art deco period only existed in the 1920s-30s...

I wouldn't do it. That's what ebay is for - to protect your purchase.
