I'm a simple gal, a wench bride........so I'd take the loot

We married very simple.....just the J.O.P and hubby's brother as a witness. I want to renew our vows on an a small island in FL.....a pirate/wench theme naturally. That would be my dream wedding.

ohhhhhhhhh... you would HAVE to post pics of that!!!

Tho' lovers be lost, love shall not... and death shall have NO dominion!

Anyway, my friend got her feelings hurt because I wanted the other guy (pastor of the presbyterian church I attend) to do the other part...the vows. She just got her Ordination License online (is that legal?) and wanted us to be the first couple she marries. Joel and I can't take any chances with our marriage not being recognised when we go for the AOS interview. Does that sound snotty of us?

I don't think it sounds snotty at all - you shouldn't be taking any chances on the legality of things. Though Her ordination may be valid, but if you aren't comfortable with it, she should understand. Maybe you can blame Joel! :D I blame my sweetie for all kinds of things to keep the peace with friends. ;)

We did a "honeymoon" registry for our small wedding - and even though only 30 people were there, we ended up with almost 2000 dollars - enough for Stewarts plane ticket to AMerica - so that worked out well :)

Where'd you set this up at, karo? As this is my second wedding, I really have no need for a regular 'registry' but would love for us to be able to honeymoon in Hawaii. :)

We had a simple weding with only people who are really important to us... very simply done

I m a freelance photographer on the side and I have seen so many big weddings where half of the people do not know the other people

Also I was shjooting this wedding it was a big giant wedding with a little over 200 personn.. very pretty wedding and expensive 10 days after the wedding the couple filed for divorce.

If i were yo uI will have a small reception with friends and family take the rest of the cash and run...
