wow, i need your keyboard!!!

Catherine,

السلام عليكم

Regular old Microsoft keyboard. You install Arabic font through the Control Panel. Go to "Regional and Language". Click on the "Languages" tab. Check the box for "Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages". Click apply. Then still in the "Languages" tab click on "Details" and add one of the Arabic keyboards. There is a slight difference in the layouts, but it is all Arabic.

You switch between the two languages using either the task bar or Alt (left) +Shift.

Order some keyboard overlays (matching the Arabic layout you chose) so you know where to the find the keys and you are ready to go!!

www.4keyboard.com has them really cheap.

http://www.datacal.com/products/arabic-layout.htm another site, more expensive and I don't think they are any different.

I have noticed at the overlays leave off some of the diacritic marks.
