Have you ever run into someone you knew in high school ?

I went to a convent school in London (ALL nuns - what a nightmare). My high school was great though and although I haven't run into many of my old HS buddies or enemies, I have heard what happened to a few of them. The school bully (huge girl with an attitude similar to a wounded rottweiler), is now a fund raiser for a children's charity, so somewhere along the line she clearly felt remorse. Lots of girls ended up having kids in their late teens so they clearly made up for lack of male company during class. It could also have something to do with the fact that the sex education class was conducted by an Irish nun who started our first ever lesson with the words "now girls, some boys will try and get you to do things you don't want to do. Always remember that God is watching you and a naked man is a DIRTY FILTHY MAN !!". Oh happy days.

Yes. I had a major crush on this one boy Doug when I was in school- he wouldn't give me the time of day. I ran into him several years later at a club after I had "blossomed" into the magnificent woman I am today. He was all over me like a dirty shirt.

Doug Simpson? The big man on campus?

I've skipped all of my HS reunions. There aren't many people from HS I miss, and they aren't the sort to show up at reunions. The 20 year reunion was 2 years ago. Maybe I'll go to the 25....don't know.

One of the people who made my life hell in HS is now the principal of the middle school that Jordan attends. He's mostly bald now, and apparently not as much of a d!ckhead as he was back then.

One of the other ones OD'd.

On the other hand, one of the guys I liked killed himself. No one was surprised. He was a nice, funny guy, but he had that sense of eternal sadness about him.

The HS football star used to pick of my garbage a few years ago.

One of the "brains" of the school delivers my pizzas from Papa John's.

One of the pot dealers is now our sheriff.

Another dealer is our Police Chief.

My friend Bill became the fire chief.

It's a weird ole world...

It sure is.My 20 year reunion was last summer and was cancelled because nobody wanted to go.RI is so small that I'm forever bumping into people I grew up with and/or went to HS with. One of the science lovers, now teaches at the same HS,one of the coke dealers works at the corner market. And this one girl who was so prim and proper ended up being a hooker, now that was funny.

Not quite. I have run into an old friend from HS, though, we were good friends. He has greying hair now, shadows around his eyes, he looks tired and depressed. I felt bad for him, not happy at all.

I know.I would have felt bad for him too. What I mean is that person that used to make your life miserable in HS.

I know what you meant... I just don't have any stories that fit your criteria :P

The guys I hated in HS (I went to an all boys school) have all but dropped off the face of the earth. I have no idea where they do or what they do.

Wait, that's not entirely true. One of them is VP at credit suisse in singapore. He was obnoxious and I hear still is.

See,now if he had turned out to be a crackhead,we could have had a good laugh.

Not so much as to running into an old HS boyfriend, but a popular girl I went to school with that was neither a good friend or enemy. She aged so badly that I didn't even recognize her when she approached me, saying that she had seen me from a distance and that I still look the same since HS!

Wow,that's just as good as being able to fit in the same jean size. That's really good.

Wow, that's like what happens in movies and stuff... everyone sticking around so you can see how they turn out. I went to high school in a place that isn't really a place. Just a suburb full of houses. It didn't even have a downtown area until like five years ago, when the movie theater and strip mall got a few more adjacent strip malls. So nobody stays there. Also, it hasn't really been long enough to see how people turned out; we only graduated seven years ago. Most of the people I knew can be found on facebook anyway, so I doubt there will be any surprises at the 2011 reunion.
