:) Hi!

I am having problems finding examples of affidavits from friends and family proving that our marriage is not fictatious. We will send several papers including our marriage certificate, of course. I would really like to have affidavits as I have read here, they really do count.

I have been reading stuff on here for a while, and I know that some peple pm'd their affidavits as examples.

I was wondering if someone could be kind enough to help me the same way. It would be greatly appreciated!!

We are filing this coming week and freaking out :crying: ...

Thank you so much!

We gave two notarized affidavits, one from our apartment maintenance guy (came from same state in India as my hubby, so they are friends) and from one of my co-workers, who attended our civil ceremony. I figured the more paperwork, the better!

Ours went something like this:

To Whom It May Concern:

I, --, have known -- (USC - wife) since she moved into -- apartment complex in November 2006. I am a Maintenance Technician working and also living at the same apartment complex. I was happy to know that she is fluent in Telugu, my mother tongue, and that she lived in Andhra Pradesh in India, where I was born and raised. I moved to USA in 1991 and became a naturalized US citizen in 1996. -- (USC wife) has visited our apartment and interacted with members of my family also.

-- introduced me to her then-fiancé -- when he arrived from India, and since then I have seen both of them on many occasions, sometimes during social gatherings in my house and sometimes around the compound of the apartment complex where we all reside.

They are a happy couple and seem very comfortable with and committed to one another. I look forward to continuing friendship with both of them.

Sincerely,

Name, address, phone, birthdate and birthplace

To Whom It May Concern:

I, --, have known -- (USC - wife) since she joined -- (company name) on --, in the -- department where I also work. We have been friends and I was aware of the immigration process of her now-husband, ---. I attended their civil ceremony and hosted a party for them at our workplace, the same day. Since then I have seen both --(USC wife) and -- (immigrant husband) on several occasions and they are a happy couple together. I have observed they are living very harmoniously together and are committed for life. I also enjoy hearing every day from -- about the progress her husband is making, while adjusting to life in the USA.

I wish them the very best in their life together. Please do contact me if there are any questions.

Sincerely,

Name, address, phone, birthdate and birthplace
