I received my packet 3 on last Friday and just drop off my DS230 part 1 and DSL-1076 checklist on Monday... then I just notice today, from the checklist, it said only mail back the checklist after we have everything in place... a little bit concern if I do it right?

On the checklist page 2, item FOURTH:

As soon as you have obtained all the documents that apply in your case, carefully read the statement at the bottom of this page, sign and date it. and return the checklist to this office. After the form has been returned to this office. you will be schedule for a visa interview at the earliest possible date. You should bring all of the above pertinent document and the application forms with you to the interview.

Since I have not got the mecical exam yet... Getting worries... any help or advice anyone please...

2006-04-24 - Sent DS230 Part 1 and Checklist back to Embassy

2006-04-28 – Self collected Packet 4 at Embassy and make appointment for medical

2006-04-29 - Medical check-up

2006-05-11 - Interview Day!!!! - APPROVED!!!

2006-05-15 - Submitted my resignation from work

2006-05-17 - Got a call from Embassy, my visa issuance ON HOLD due to new law IMBRA, they are not able to issue my VISA!!!

2006-05-19 - Pick up my passport without VISA. No information as to when my VISA will be ready...

2006-05-22 - Embassy inform that our case has sent back to NVC via FedEx

2006-06-24 - Last day of my job after serving 1 month notice. (Manage to extend my last work day to 6/24)

~~~ Still don't know what they need from us...

2006-06-25 - USC's finace fly to Malaysia...

Hi,

The best thing to do I guess is for you to schedule your medical examination as soon as possible. However, if an interview has been scheduled and you're not done with medical yet, you may call embassy to have the interview re-scheduled.

What I did when I was at that stage was immediately made an appointmet for my medical exam (The US Embassy there should advice you on their appointed doctors for this). After my medical, the clinic called and informed me that they had sent the results back to the Embassy so then a day later I went back to the embassy (I got to picked up my own packet 3). The embassy then checked all my papers then scheduled me for an interview.

April 4, 2007: Infopass & it doesn't help at all!!!
April 18, 2007 :Contacting our Congressman.
May 18, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, Welcome Notice Sent! Finally!!!
April 22, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, GC has been ordered
April 24, 2007 : Welcome Notice Rvcd. Yeeehaaa!!!!
June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.

Thank you... In my packet 3, it did not provide the medical examination instructions - it only hand written with "will be given to you later" I think it will only send to me on my packet 4... I'm getting worries because I have snet back my checklist....

07/11/2005 Received by NVC - on way to Consulate!! yeah!!

07/11/2005 Applied for Police Certificate

15/11/2005 Police Clearance Cert Arrived

17/11/2005 Received at Consulate

30/11/2005 Medical at Edinburgh Nuffield Screening Center

01/12/2005 Telephoned for Medical Results, everything fine

03/12/2005 Packet 3 Received from Consulate!! Yipee!!

08/12/2005 X-Ray and Medical Results delivered by Courier

09/12/2005 Packet 3 Sent back to Consulate

20/12/2005 National Police Certificate Arrives! *(TIP: it takes FULL 40 days to arrive, so apply early!)*

I got everything I need now except the medical exam, the embassy haven't sent me the details on who is their appointed doctor and what need to bring with me for the medical exam..... :(

According to the US Embassy website in Kuala Lumpur "when the required forms and procedures have been completed, we will send an appointment letter to the beneficiary. Medical examination forms will be included with the appointment letter. The medical examination may not be completed (?) you receive the examination forms." http://malaysia.usembassy.gov/consular/how.htm

So I guess you have to wait for the next packet but then again, you may want to double check this info with the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur (tel. 2168-5000)
