Hi everyone

I am starting on my wedding plans.We are going to have a small simple wedding nothing really fancy maybe at a small older church or the Botanical Gardens. With a few family and friends. We are hoping for March 29th if he receives his visa quickly after the interview....but I know that is not guranteed so I have not booked the place yet. So the place may be determined by what is available once he is here.

I have picked a dress and veil and have posted them to see what you all think......So comments welcome.

My opinion is the dress is elegant, comfortable, flatters almost every figure but not too fancy for an early afternoon small wedding.

The veil is pretty and compliments the dress and short so it will not be in the way. What do you think? Do you think it is too plain? Ahmed said he prefers to buy a suit rather than buy or rent a tuxedo...that way he can wear it other places if he needs too. So I do not want to real fancy.

Also if anyone knows where to buy wedding stuff cheap let me know....like ring bearer pillows, flower girl baskets, decorations etc. We are on a tight budget these days. My daughter starts college this Fall and her senior year of high school is not cheap.

omg omg!! i absolutely looooooooooove wedding plans and wedding dresses and veils and everyyyyyyyyyyyyything that has to do with weddings!!!!!!!!!!!!

the dress is beautiful!! it's a little simple, but I can imagine, it will be gorgeous in an early, garden wedding...and yess, that style looks amazing on any figure!! simple isn't bad, it's actually very elegant and classy....i looove it and i'm sure you'lll look beauuuutiful!! ...and the veil matches it perrrrfectly!!

hmm...cheap wedding stuff.....if you're in new york....i'm assuming you are, since you're talking about the botanic gardens... haha...around 34th street in manhattan, there are a bunch of stores where they sell at whole sale prices...you'll find beautiful gloves, tiara's, [most likely ring bearer pillows], and anything and everything you'll need for the wedding...the prices are great....also, if you're making your own favors, they sell the little tie flowers and other accessories and things.....

i loooooove weddings!!! hahaha....

I love the veil but the gown hmmmmm sorry not my taste. Not so elegant for me. Why u dont try the style of the woman wearing that veil, its more elegant than what you choose. Try to look wedding gown in www.bridalonlinestore.com on sale now and i choose my wedding dress of that site. Anywy, its your choice anywy, important that your happy and have confident on what you wear... GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi! Not to be a down-er... just some advice.. don't set the date!! We set our date for March 1st... you know, because that is when his parents were going to be able to get here again and everything.. .thinking that "hey! His interview is Oct 17th.. that will give us SOOOOOOO much time." haha... well we are still waiting, and now its down to the wire, and I'm on pins and needles and going to feel SOO Terrible if his parents came all this way for nothing...

anyways.. beautiful dress!! I am also on a budget and got a davids bridal gown, BUT!! check out ebay! if you have gone into the store and know what size fits you in different styles, you can check on there and maybe find the one you want... i just happend upon the style I wanted on ebay... brand new.. the person who bought it never wore it... its marked $400 at David's Bridal. I got the dress, garmet bag, and slip all for $80 (including shipping!).. anyways.. .be careful, but it could be worth it...

THANKS SO MUCH.....Unfortunately I was talking about the Botanical gardens we have here in Alabama. But I do not mind shopping online. DO they have a website that you know of? Thanks for your input. I love weddings just not planning them....hehehe.

Thanks....it is okay is you do not like it...everyone's taste is not the same. I have not decided definitely yet but I am thinking it is practical and elegant. But am going wedding dress shopping tomorrow again. SO who knows I may change my mind. That is why I am asking everyoe's opinion. Thanks again.

Never be sorry for your comments dear... I asked for them remember. I do not mind. I know I will make the final selection but I wanted others input. He is going to wear a suit not a Tuxedo because he says he can get more wear from a suit. I picked the dress because it does not "Look" like a Wedding Dress but is pretty anyway. But once I try it on I may not like it at all. So I am undecided and wanted others opinion......so thanks so much for your comments.

One of my customers is a well-known bridal gown provider. Their response to eBay... extremely cheap imitations of their gowns and David's Bridal, etc... You might run a very good chance of your dress being extremely poor quality if you buy from eBay. Who wants to ruin their big day just to save a few dollars?
