I have been told to bring to the K1 interview a NEW letter of intent to marry once my fiancee comes into the US, I have that ready, does she have to write one too?

Yes, it's a good idea. We had both but were not asked for them.

We had them at Fernanda's interview, but they never asked to see them. But it is best to be prepared for anything!

I (the non-USC) was required by my consulate to bring an updated letter of intent from my now husband (the USC). It wouldn't hurt to have updated letters from both of you, just in case you are asked for them.
