Good news! again....WE have received yesterday Jan 31st, 08 the biometric appointment for Feb 13th..This is so fast..

We have sent the application on Jan 2nd, received the extension 2 weeks later and now the ASC..

Thank you Vermont Center..

Again we wanted to share this good news!

cool, i sent in my application on Jan 15 and i got my biometrics appt letter today... yeah and vermont rocks.... but well they are the USCIS they arent suppose to process things so fast...anyways i am happy

1/12/08 - sent I-751 to TSC

2/7/08 - money order cashed

1/24/08 - Transferred to VERMONT

1/26/2008 - NOA

2/23/2008 -Biometrics

12/16/2008 finally Approved

N-400

12/03/08 Eligible to file N400

10/03/09 Mailed N-400

10/07/09 NOA

10/13/09 Check cashed

10/30/09 FP appointment

11/07/09 Case sent to Local office for interview

11/23/2009 Received interview letter with an as of date of 11/18/2009

12/15/2009 Interview scheduled ---Approved

congratulations!!! ijust gotmy biometric appointment today, it will be on the feb.22. i guess the uscis is working faster this year! maybe its their new year resolution. lol!!!im from the texas service center.

08/11/2006 - Its a BABY GIRL!!!!!! (my honey said she's my mini me!)

12/2006 - My hubby was dx with cancer

04/2007 - The saddest day of my life... my hubby passed away at the age of 38

01/08/2008 - Removal of condition application submitted (I-751) to VSC

01/24/2008 - Checked cash in

01/26/2008 - NOA received

02/22/2008 - Biometrics appointment

03/2008 - Letter of extension received.

08/2008 - VSC still processing 09/2007 application

11/2008 - Patiently waiting..........

12/12/2008 - 10 yr. green card received!! !!!!

01/25/2010 - waiting for the time to apply for citizenship!!

All of that early stuff happens fast. After the biometrics are done, you wait and wait and wait and wait. That's when you realize, hey, this really isn't so fast. And VSC had been meeting the service goal target of six months from NOA1, but now 4 months worth of old TSC petitions were just dumped in their lap. (Not to mention that new TSC petitions filed since December are being transfered to VSC.) That means any VSC filer who hasn't been approved yet (people who have VSC NOA1s from this past August through the present) are looking at a good ten months plus until approval. That is, unless VSC has been working at less than full speed or has hired more people who have now gotten up to speed.

Ya, the same happened with me after being transfered to CSC... everything moved along, I had my biometrics within 45 days of applying.... and here I am, 3 months later... still waiting... :unsure:

Sept 10, 2001... Arrived in US (J1)

Sept 2002... AOS (J1 to F1)

March 2003...AOS Approved

May 2003... Flew to SA. Reapplied for F1. RFE and Finally Approved. 2 year F1 visa in Passport.

Jan 21 2004... Married in Chicago

Aug 2004... Applied for AOS, Petition for spouse and EAD

Feb 2005... Joshua, our little cutie pie is born on SuperBowl Sunday

May 2005... EAD Approved

Dec 17 2005... AOS & Petition approved (2 year green-card received)

Aug 4 2007... Mailed in I-751 = $275 (remove conditions)

Aug 31 2007... Everything returned, filed too early, wrong fee

Sept 17 2007 Refiled to NSC

Sept 18 2007... Delivered by DHL to NSC

Oct 10 2007... Received at CSC

Oct 15 2007... Check cashed, transfered to CSC

Oct 15 2007... Received 1st notice with application number and 1 year extension. Notice Dated 9/19/07

Nov 1 2007... tried walk-in biometrics, refused

Nov 8 2007...Biometrics completed. Staff at Naperville ASC were great!

Nov 9 2007... Last touch

March 7 2008... Card production ordered!!!!!!!! 5 months, 2 weeks and 5 days

March 12 2008... Case Status: Approval notice sent

March 15 2008...Green card received in mail...so done with USCIS done for a few years!!!!!! :)
