fingerprints-again??

I applied for AOS in October 07 and was fingerprinted for that November. That was dumb of me, but I was not aware of the fact that new fee for AOS includes EAD and AP as well...so as soon as I found out I applied for EAD and AP as well(that was begining of January). Today I was dumb founded cause I recived biometric appointment for EAD: why can't they use my fingerprints taken for AOS in November?( I attached my fingerprint appointment receipt to my EAD application).... I am just wondering did anyone had to do fingerprints twice because not appling for AOS and EAD at the same time. Just getting more and more frustrated with USCIS and with myself...

The requirements for the AOS fingerprints and the EAD fingerprints are different. If you had filed them together, you may have been able to satisfy both requirements at the same time, but you did not file them together. USCIS is properly requesting the new biometrics based on the chronology of your action.
