VJ a microcosm of the world?

It seems to me that all the threads here represent different countries, regions, may be even cities or states.

I am more of a traveler, and have loved to mingle from all over the world, getting along with many different cultures.

Once, upon entering a thread that was a bunch of Brits, they made me feel like I was fodder that shouldn't have even approached their thread....

It seems that there are "countries" that are extremely clickish. Are we in high school, or are we in gangland? Hard to tell.

What kind of expectation do you have? I try to have none, but I assumed (yes, made an ### out of U and ME) that all of us here in VJ have a struggle to go thru, and support from all colors, sexes, and races should bring a bonding and a strength to get thru it.

I am just beginning the process, and it sucks. Those of you who have gone thru the most difficult part (the I129 or I130) use this place to chat with your buddies, post a bunch of meaningless b*llsh*t that I guess is supposed to amuse and bring laughs.

But those of us lost in the sauce such as myself can go to any blog and bs about the ####### that goes on here.

Maybe I am too cynical, or just sensitive...maybe both. But shouldn't this place be a little more uplifting an personal, rather than just a"CONGRATS!! WELCOME TO VJ!!"""

That's an unfair generalization

I can only say that you'll find all kinds here, choose whatever makes you feel best...maybe it helps you sharing information and building up on knowledge on the process and helping others. Maybe it helps you to relax goofing around. Maybe it helps you to provide a word of encouragement or advice to someone going through a rough patch. Do what's best for you, because you have a few tough months ahead, and having the support of people going or that have gone through the same thing ussually helps a lot.

Dude- there are indeed a lot of folks who use the site to chat with our buddies, and that's our right.

We also try to give advise when (this one goes for me) I know the answer, or encouragement when asked by a member that's feeling like #######. Have you thought that maybe we BS around with our buddies to ease the stress? This site is a life saver, it was for me through all my process.
