This isn't the first time that the "senility" attack's been hurled at an older guy running for prez....Ronald Reagan also had to deflect those kinds of insinuations.

Yeah I know - I don't think he meant it in a sinister way, probably just a generational thing.

One thing I will say about McCain - a lot will depend on the quality of his running mate - given that at 72 there is a real possibility that he could fall ill or be incapacitated during the course of one term, let alone two.
