K-3 approved but stilll waiting for Montreal!!

wrote down the tracking number for the XpressPost envelope (now I wish I hadnt!), have checked it all this week starting on Monday, interview was on a Friday (the 25th)...nothing has showed up yet... Sent Montreal an email last night but so far all Ive received is the "generic response".. after 11 months of this process, had hoped getting the passport/visa back would be the quickest part! trying not to panic but have visions of them accidently sending hubbys passport through the shredder..LOL

just heard from Michelle who had her interview on the 29th that hers is scheduled to be delivered today..

should I email them again or try to have a good weekend and see what Monday brings *sigh*

keep in mind that Canada post tracking system doesnt always work!! Dont know how many times isent stuff with tracking, and it never worked!!

Mine was updated....

and was right.

I got mine today...

however more information.. I noticed that they did not send it out until Jan 31st... got it the next day. (today the 1st)

Maybe it's just they were all sent out on the 31st?

Congrats on the aproval , yes canada post is not working right all the time , when I had my interview it took almost a week to get my passport in mail , good luck

Thanks guys, going to try to go on with the weekend and hopefully it shows up next week....we just want it in our hands before we finalize everything with UPack so everything is on hold right now.. frustrating...

I don't know if you saw Misty1979's post about tracking her envelope - took 6 days I think but even on the day it arrived the Canada Post website said it was still sitting in Montreal!

I hadnt seen Misty's but did see that a few people did have to wait until almost 2 weeks to get it..its my husbands passport and hes not stressed about it at all...LOL..he says it will come and dont even look at the Canada Post websight at all because their tracking system stinks... so I guess I will hold off on the stress until Friday...LOL

Finally after 3 emails to Montreal, and 2 days of pretty much non stop crying, just got this reply:

"I just checked and your visa is only being printed this afternoon which means it will be in the mail tomorrow morning.

my husband,who is the owner of the Visa, has remained calm throughout saying "it will come", I on the other hand inherited the paranoia/worry wart gene from my mother and just KNEW that Montreal had either lost or "accidently" shredded my husbands passport... LOL..hopefully we will have it by Friday so we can FINALLY get on with our moving plans!

Did you read where I requested picking up my Visa from Montreal (since I "lived" there) and they gave me a time and date, and I went and they made me wait for an hour to come back and tell me the printing was going to take hours! And so to come back the next day...I gave them the next day and the weekend and came back on the Monday. It was ready! Buggers!

So they might have tiny hamsters running on treadmills powering their printers.

It will be done.

Maybe the increase in Visa fees is to get better equipment? How is it Montreal can't print out a friggin visa, which is only a sticky thing they put in your passport and Vancouver gave it to me within 15 min. of approval of Visa? So stupid!
