How soon are RFE's issued?

Hi folks,

Is there any sort of window as to when an RFE will be sent out after receiving NOA's, if an RFE is even required?

K-1 Journey

04/09/06 - met for the first time

03/24/07 - proposed!

03/28/07 - sent I-129 to NVC

04/04/07 - NVC received I-129

06/26/07 - NVC sent approval

07/12/07 - Montreal Consulate recieved approved petition

07/20/07 - recieved Packet 3 from Montreal

07/24/07 - sent Packet 3 back to Montreal

** obtained police certificate

08/07/07 - Montreal confirmed that they recieved Packet 3

09/21/07 - INTERVIEW BOOKED NOV. 9TH, 9AM

10/17/07 - Completed Medical (took 5 minutes!)

11/09/07 - Visa APPROVED in Montreal (should receive in 2-3 weeks)

11/16/07 - picked up visa at the post office today (2-3 weeks my a$$)

Entered US December 4th!!

Married December 22nd

AOS Journey

01/11/08 - sent AOS package to Chicago Lockbox

01/13/08 - USPS confirmed delivery of AOS package

01/14/08 - received new SSN with married name

01/19/08 - received all 3 NOA's

02/04/08 - case transferred to CSC (notified online)

02/11/08 - biometrics

02/14/08 - case received at CSC

03/08/08 - approval notice for travel document sent (notified online)

03/12/08 - EAD card approved

03/14/08 - received AP

03/15/08 - received EAD

03/16/08 - AP and EAD touched?? I have already received them.

03/26/08 - AOS touched!!

03/27/08 - AOS touched again...

05/12/08 - Card Production Ordered!!

05/13/08 - Welcome letter has been sent

Lifting of Conditions I-751

02/12/10 - Mailed petition to Vermont

Hiya...we received an RFE almost right away for a couple of missing W2's. I imagin you're past that stage. Like mentioned above, i'm sure there are RFE's for different stages, but you're probably good for a while :)

Wiz(USC) and Udella(Cdn & USC!)

Naturalization

02/22/11 - Filed

02/28/11 - NOA

03/28/11 - FP

06/17/11 - status change - scheduled for interview

06/20?/11 - received physical interview letter

07/13/11 - Interview in Fairfax,VA - easiest 10 minutes of my life

07/19/11 - Oath ceremony in Fairfax, VA

12/1/09 - received at VSC

12/2/09 - NOA's for self and daughter

01/12/10 - Biometrics completed

03/15/10 - 10 Green Card Received - self and daughter

How can you tell the OP that they should be good for a while???? you do not know what they submitted or anything about their case.... you can recieve a RFE at anytime durring the porcessing of your case, including at the interview.... you can not reasure people based just on your case... the correct answer is "AT ANYTIME" not that they should be ok!!!!

ok guys, thanks everyone for your feedback. I was just curious if the RFE's were sent out only at the beginning of the process, or if at anytime during. Now I know :whistle:

Yes, an RFE can come anytime (gawd knows they think of the silliest reasons)...you are right, I was just being silly and positive...what was I thinking ?

Same here, we received an RFE for requiring us to send the W2 and all income proof again on Dec 18th, just 2 weeks before our biometrics appointment (Jan 4th)!! But we still go for the biometrics with no problem, then resent all the tax thing to them on Jan 22nd and now they resumed our AOS case. :angry:

- 11-28-07 I-485/I-765/I-131 sent

- 12-06-07 NOA1 of AOS

- 12-18-07 received RFE for I-864

- 12-20-07 EAD and AP touched (Notice Returned as Undeliverable)

- 01-04-08 Biometrics appointment done

- 01-19-08 resent hubby's income proof

- 01-28-08 AOS touched (Response to RFE received, and case processing has resumed)

- 03-10-08 EAD and AP finally touched and approved!!! =)

- 03-12-08 Case Transfer to CSC

- 03-13-08 EAD Touched again (Card Production ordered)

- 03-17-08 AP and Transfer notice received in mail (AP valids until 03-09-09)

- 03-18-08 EAD touched again (Approval Notice sent)

- 03-20-08 EAD received in mail

- 03-27-08 AOS Touched everyday since 03-20 (Case pending)

- 04-01-08 Applied for my SSN with married name

- 04-07-08 SSN received in mail (YAY!!! No More ALIEN)

- 05-19-08 Received another RFE about medical

- 05-21-08 Visited family doctor for full medical exam

- 05-27-08 Visited civil surgeon to fill in I-693

- 05-28-08 Mailed out RFE reponse to CSC

- 05-30-08 USPS shows my RFE reponse was delivered at 11:22 AM in LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607

- 06-04-08 RFE received and case processing has resumed

- 06-09-08 GC Card production ordered and welcome letter sent (6 months waiting!!!)

- 06-12-08 GC Approval Notice sent

- 06-16-08 GC and welcome letter received
