This question is in regards to what should the CO-SPONSOR / JOINT SPONSOR put in the box for "Relationship to Sponsor" of the I-134 Affidavit of Support. The co-sponsor for our case is my father.

Question 3

That this affidavit is executed on behalf of the following person (obviously it is the beneficiary). However, what is the "correct/common" answer for the relationship of the beneficiary to the co-sponsor/joint-sponsor (my father)?

What have others put for this that have used a co-sponsor / joint-sponsor?

My guess is that the answer to this question is VERY simple, but for some reason my brain isn't working in a simple mode right now.

Fiance's Father would IMO suffice.

Aren't they asking for the relationship of the beneficiary to the co-sponsor / joint-sponsor? On the example I-134 form on VJ, this section has an answer of fiancee, which makes sense because a co-sponsor isn't used. Therefore, the relationship of the "person this affidavit is being executed on behalf of" to the sponsor is fiance(e).

However, what is the correct/common answer for the relationship of the beneficiary (i.e. fiancee) to the co-sponsor (i.e. my father)?
