I-797C has been Canceled by USCIS

Hey guys,

I know it been awhile since I've been on the site, however, everything is or should I say was going well until a letter that I received on the mail saying that they have cancelled our interview date which was supposed to held on March. One thing I don't get is that we have received the confirmation letter a day prior to the cancellation one. It says:

This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have canceled the previously scheduled interview on March 2008 for the above applicant. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. You will be notified of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under serapate notice.

I'm wondering did any been thru this before? should I be worried?

Your help will be really appreciated.

I don't understand how, given the information given, that you conclude that the I-797C has been canceled. Perhaps there's something I'm not seeing...

Odds are, the interview is just being rescheduled for another date, which is not uncommon. Don't worry about it. If you'd like to confirm the status of your case, I'd suggest contacting the embassy to make sure it's just a scheduling issue.

There was a rash of these cancellations a while back. I can't remember the outcome of them but one recommendation was to attend your original appointment just in case.
