Wow -- a $130 medical is a bargain; mine cost $400!

But I have good news, too: I got an email informing me that my I-131 Approval Notice was sent on 4/25! I am so happy you have no idea; we were worried that we'd have to put off our Orthodox wedding overseas in Greece (in June). From start to finish, my AP approval process only took 57 days, even though they took over 5 weeks to cash my checks. I'm surprised and excited and so grateful you can't imagine.

Now just hoping that they don't call us in for our interview while we're away!

I'm praying for that so I can immediately start working after my wedding next month. BTW, I checked your timeline and looks like you should be receiving good news one of these days too!

I called every civil surgeon within 2 hours drive....Quotes ranged from $350 to $125 (decided to go to one 45 mins away and pay $5 more as opposed to driving for 2 hours lol!)

Almost the same thing happened with my EAD and AP, I think they probab;y pushed it through to make up for taking so long to cash our checks!!!

Hello Guys... Today we went to the Social Security Office to get my SSN, we wait on line for almost 3 hours to get attended.. Finally we got at the windows, I thought that I was going to get my SSN immediately, but oh surprise  They told me I should wait 3 months to get it, because They must verify the information I gave them... Anyone that already pass from this experience and would like to share with me How long they wait for it????

Thanks in advance.

Blessings to all!!!...

Congrats americanenglish! My EAD arrived today too... Very exciting, except the photo they took is absolutely horrendous and makes me look like a ghost. Seriously, my face is almost indistinguishable from the white of the card. When I asked my husband to please tell me I never look like that he merely said I rarely look like that.

Oh well, this card will soon go in some drawer anyway.

Hi. Well I had a K-1 and K-2 visa, so I dont know if it is different from your situation. But I'm still trying to get my SSN. I had went to the SSA office 6 times and it hasn't gotten easier. I have my EAD and have had it for over a month now. I got my application in for a SS card, but they need to verify with Immigration that my EAD is "valid" and that can take up to 8 weeks they say. I had to wait about 3 weeks for my son's EAD card to be valid, but mine was still coming up "pending" on their computer. I called my Senator and apparently a day after my application was put in, they got an approval from Immigration on my EAD card. Now I'm just waiting for my SS card to come in the mail. Who kows how long that will take. Its been a long journey to get a SSN for me, but not everyone has to go through what I have. From what I've seen, not many have.

Mary
