hi! does anybody know how long does it take before i receive my NOA1? i've been waiting for a month and still nothing. does anyone know their hotline? thanks. i sent my package last feb 21, 2008

Hi Ryza,

There are some people here who waited over a month for their checks to be cashed and NOA1. Most of us got it quick though. Hope you'll get yours soon. Don't lose hope!

Update on my EAD status...I still haven't received the card, but I did receive an approval notice email, saying it was sent out today. So the card was sent out the 15th I think, and approval notice today. Did you ever get the other email?

Liz... did you get an approval notice via email? Not a card production notice? I am curious as to why some of us receive an approval and NO card production email... and others receive card production emails NOT approval.

Thanks for letting us know it takes about 8 days to get it in the mail :)

Jan 30 2008 - We get married in Vegas! We decide to stay in the US.

Feb 08 2008 - File I-130, I-485, AP and EAD

Feb 11 2008 - Package arrives in Chicago

Feb 19 2008 - Receive NOA 1 for everything except I-485. NOA date Feb 15th

Feb 19 2008 - Touch I-130, AP, EAD

Feb 21 2008 - Receive I-485 NOA 1. NOA Date Feb 15th

Feb 22 2008 - Receive Biometrics notice, dated Feb 20th, for appointment March 11th

Feb 27 2008 - Walk in to Denver field office and have Biometrics taken early as the 11th March I'll be away

Apr 16 2008 - EAD card production ordered

Doing great here. Actually i didn't receive the hardcopy of NOA1 in the mail but I called USCIS and they said its ok as long as I can view my case status online. For your case, I say wait a bit before you call them. I'm sure they will just tell you to hang in there and wait. Some people waited more than 30 days here. Wish you'll get it soon. :)

For your case, I say wait a bit before you call them. I'm sure they will just tell you to hang in there and wait. Some people waited more than 30 days here. Wish you'll get it soon. :)

Just curious -- how did you find out about your case number if you didn't get NOA1?

AP will be a while for me as I didn't apply for it until last week. But I'm not so worried now that I have some indication that there is actual movement despite the lack of touches.

This has been a great week for us Feb filers! :thumbs: Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

BamBam how did your interview go?

We had our interview yesterday....man that was TOO EASY!! We were approved!! My wife got a I-551 stamp on her passport and the lady said she would get her green card in 2 weeks! Afterwards we rushed to Social Security, showed the stamp and applied for SS. They said she would get it in 3-4 weeks.

The lady basically wanted to confirm with my wife if she knew her address, phone number and get this her parents names. LOL. She asked questions from the I-485 form I believe. We brought a bunch of pictures to the room and she asked, "what's that?" We said "pictures", and she looked surprised like it was something new to bring pictures to an interview. She then said "ok let's see them" as if she wasn't expecting to see pictures. We showed her pics of our civil wedding, pics of our travels to Reno, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, pics with my family and friends, etc. She then said ok I'm going to put this stamp on her passport so you can go to SS and show them this to get her a SSN. It was over in 10 minutes.

So I guess I can forget about AP, EAD, since the I-551 stamp is employment authorization and can be used as a temporary green card until she gets hers in the mail. Right? Yesterday was a great day. Thanks VJ and everyone, this place is great!!!
