I have lots of trips planned for this summer, and it sucks not being able to book early, get cheap tickets, and eliminate the uncertainty for my friends and colleagues who are waiting to hear what's going on with me this summer. *sigh*

Totally agree with you there. We're in the same boat. Looking to travel but can't. Makes booking tickets a nightmare and lots more expensive - not to mention not being able to tell my work/family when exactly the trip is planned.

Just know that there's people out there in VERY similar situations. Had to imagine sometimes but it's true. Just have to keep the faith.

Good luck!

Thanks! I was on hold for 1/2 hour - the original person could not find my file, but a supervisor did find it, and said it's fine, it's all in there, and it might never show up online. He said it was an "inconvenient glitch".

He also said that when you file concurrently, the I-130 travels around with the I-485, that they are not separated. I don't know if this is true or not:).

Concurrent I-130 and AOS

I'm starting to feel like my AP and EAD may be falling out of the "tail end" of "okay" at this point. Ugh! This sucks!

I feel you on this one. We have very similar timelines. But, it should be good news for you to hear, the EAD's have to be issued within 90 days. Since we received the NOA1, it has been 62 days, so I guess technically we have another month or so. It's still frustrating to have my adjudication dates say one thing but they aren't holding true. My EAD date now says April 16th, so I'm curious to see if that happens!

In some good news though, my husband received his license! One card down, 2 more to go!

All documents (when you need to file an I-130) stay at National Benefits Center till they are transfered to a local office for interview.

There is no possible transfer to California Service Center for us. :(

This has begun to dawn onto me as well after I, very arrogantly, assumed that we'd be transferred because why wouldn't the USCIS want to give me the greencard right away? :bonk: This is why I decided to apply for AP after all (I believe I can travel on my H-1B but it's very much time for a job change and I'd like to take a long travel break in between jobs).

But in the end we'll all get it, so hang in there! And as your signature says, we're all in it for love which is a great thing in and of itself. :)

Yeah, hope things start moving again this week!

January filers are starting to get their GC, so maybe it'll be our turn soon! Technically we filed on Jan. 29 (NOA1: Feb. 4). I have lots of trips planned for this summer, and it sucks not being able to book early, get cheap tickets, and eliminate the uncertainty for my friends and colleagues who are waiting to hear what's going on with me this summer. *sigh*

My package arrived Jan 29th also but didn't get my NOA1 until Feb. 7th. So we have similar timelines. I already booked a trip to visit my family in PA this summer, forgot about the interview stuff, but I think I can change it once if I need to. So I'm not to worried about it. What I am worried about is that I have finals coming up in a month, I have to take two tests over the summer for grad school and jobs and those are only on specific days. So I'm hoping that there won't be a conflict! Otherwise it will suck. I just wish they would touch my application. I hate the waiting! At least I have AP and EAD, and now a job and school to keep me busy.
