Today, I got two email from CRIS. My EAD and AP card production ordered!

The good thing about them touching all three is that at least I know they've linked the cases, but why are they STILL not approving my son's????

I'm wondering if the mysterious 'thing' they say was returned to them was a biometrics appointment for him??

JaEnglishGirl, your son will get approved for the EAD when it's his turn so be patient. Judging by the picture, I don't think the time it takes to get an EAD for your son is as crucial as others who are waiting to work to support families. We are all wondering why it takes so long to get approved but there is no magic answer to that. Patience is virtue.

Agreed.....I didn't apply for an EAD for him (no I wish I HAD though!)...Just AP since we were planning to go on holiday the second I got my EAD so that I wouldn't have started working yet....Will see how that pans out!!

Let's not judge each other. I know it's hard to be understanding of others' frustrations when your case is moving slower or you feel that you have a more pressing need for the green card, EAD or AP but you don't know the full situation of other posters and it's a process that has its highs and lows for everyone. I for one can imagine that you'd want to make sure your son is not becoming a stranger to your loved ones back home. Actually this is something that I'm struggling with now that my sister has a baby girl.

Peace, people-- at least we're in this boat because of great love and/or great opportunities. And this forum is a great place for information but also to share our experiences (including our emotions about the whole immigration process).

Yeah definitely.. I'm sorry if I came across that way. The immigration ordeal is so hard on everyone that it's hard to not pay attention to the harsh feelings within ourselves. If it were a perfect world, all of us would receive what we are hoping for because I believe new immigrants are the hardest working people there are. I only wish the best for everyone here and hope that everything works out. I'm glad that a site like this exists. I am praying for everyone here.

I didn't think he meant to be harsh, I think he was just saying that my impatience for AP is a WANT while for people struggling to make ends meet, it's a NEED....Something that I most definitely can identify with!!!!!

I start work today! I'm so excited to be making some extra money. I'm working at Jamba Juice, it's a smoothie place. Not the most exciting job in the world but it's a good job while I'm still attending classes and waiting to graduate in December. Then I can really start bringing home some money!

I agree...you never know what someone else is experiencing on the other end of the forum. I was just put on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy, so out of work for about 2 months, and it's getting a bit tight with my husband not working as well. But all we can do is wait and hope for the best!

I want to do something to make it so people on a Fiance Visa can actually work, it only makes sense since the people are usually coming here to marry and work and live permanently!
