Just a quick note, went for my Biometrics in Norfolk today. Was quick and easy. They said EAD would likely be 3 months from today. I will update if I hear otherwise and of course put it in my signature. Hope eveyone is doing great and that there will be more transfers and or approvals today.

Actually, you are supposed to receive your EAD 90 days from FILING, not from your biometrics....

I am hoping you are right because I was hoping to register with a temp agency next week and get any testing out of the way so once I receive EAD I am ready to be placed. Crossing my fingers that the guy was erring on the side of caution by saying 3 months from today, and crossing my toes, ouch....

Glad the biometrics went quickly and smoothly for you Leafgal. I also heard that you're supposed to get the card in 90 days of application, not biometrics, hope it gets there soon! :)

Thanks :) Wish my K-1 would've been as fast as yours (I filed the week after you), but he's here now and that's all that matters :) The waiting through this part is much easier..at least we're together. I know I'll be checking everyday too when I get the NOA's so I can see things online :thumbs:

I know when I was going through the K-1 that I went through Vermont and apparently they are the fastest, or at least used to be. Now we will see how the proces goes for the AOS, some people have a very long wait, am hoping I am not going to be one of them. But it is what it is going to be, not much can be done about it unfortunately.

I never rec'd a NOA2, nor did our lawyer. So we are going to see if that becomes a problem through the process, crossing my fingers it won't.

Well then I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya too :) That's really strange that you never got the NOA2. I got mine, then my paperwork disappeared. CSC claims they sent it to NVC and NVC said they never rec'd it..what a mess that was for a few weeks. Hopefully things go much better and faster this time :)

We filed AOS/EAD on Dec. 31st and today we finally received my hubby's EAD card in the mail!! Yay! It's valid for one whole year and we're so happy! He's been job hunting; so far nothing good has turned up, but at least now he has the card to show, not just saying "it's coming"! :dance:

May 24, 2007: NOA 1

Sept. 20, 2007: APPROVAL NOA 2 !!! (Day 139)

Sept. 24, 2007: Hard copy NOA 2 received in mail

Oct. 25, 2007: Papers arrived at NVC

Oct. 29, 2007: Papers left NVC: enroute to Bucharest YAY!!

Nov. 2, 2007: Packet 3 mailed from embassy

Nov. 8, 2007: Packet 3 received, medical and interview scheduled by phone

Nov. 12, 2007: Medical appointment completed

Nov. 13, 2007: Interview in Bucharest: VISA APPROVED!!
