I got my biometrics appointment letter today for March 19 at 9am. But the paper is actually a I-797C which is the NOA right? Is this normal to have the biometrics letter on the NOA? It's dated March 5 and I never received anything else since I submitted my AOS.

Hi DeeZee!got my NOA's today too but i dnt have my biometric schedule yet. it says ther that they will send an appointment notice for Biometrics. Good for you that you have the schedule already. Good luck!!!

Mine is weird coz the biometrics appointment was stated on the NOA1. I hope that's normal! From what I've read here, people get an NOA1 then another biometrics letter.

Ideas anyone?

- 01-28-08 AOS touched (Response to RFE received, and case processing has resumed)

- 03-10-08 EAD and AP finally touched and approved!!! =)

Today makes it 28 days since our package was received by USCIS (2/12) and we still have not received NOAs nor have the checks been cashed....I have scheduled an infopass appointment for Monday of next week (3/17)....I have the delivery confirmation stuff with me so hopefully they will at least be able to tell us why this is happening and, even better, get this thing started once and for all....

Question: do you think both my wife and I need to show up for the appointment? (she is the USC)...

I waited 30 days, so I know only too well how you feel....I doubt the InfoPass appointment can help, because how are they going to locate your specific package??

I was really worried because I had sent my actual certified marriage license and also the actual NOA2 from my K1 visa....

I can't see why your wife would NEED to be there, but I suggest calling the misinformation line to check...

How old is your daughter?

My son is 7 and he doesn't have one, I THINK kids under 14 are not required to have biometrics.

Today makes it 28 days since our package was received by USCIS (2/12) and we still have not received NOAs nor have the checks been cashed....I have scheduled an infopass appointment for Monday of next week (3/17)....I have the delivery confirmation stuff with me so hopefully they will at least be able to tell us why this is happening and, even better, get this thing started once and for all....

Question: do you think both my wife and I need to show up for the appointment? (she is the USC)...

I waited 30 days, so I know only too well how you feel....I doubt the InfoPass appointment can help, because how are they going to locate your specific package??

I was really worried because I had sent my actual certified marriage license and also the actual NOA2 from my K1 visa....

I can't see why your wife would NEED to be there, but I suggest calling the misinformation line to check...

ok..quick question.. I received my biometrics, but my daughter hasn't yet..I would assume its on its way for the same day? oh wait..I'm dealing with USCIS..I should assume nothing..LOL.. :lol: but what do ya think? :blink:

How old is your daughter?

My son is 7 and he doesn't have one, I THINK kids under 14 are not required to have biometrics.

Ok, you had made me curious, so I called them to see whether my son should have got an appointment for biometrics. They said that the decison would be made by the service centers as to whether or not he needed to have one

She did say that since I was going, I should take him with me and have his done just in case, let's see how he's going to get in without an appointment letter lol!!

On an unrelated matter, regarding the fact they got my package on Feb 4th, but sent NOAs March 3rd, they said the operative date was in fact FEB not March which made me VERY happy!!
