Hi everyone, im new here. Just wanted to ask some help..

I filed my AOS,EAD Jan 31 in Chicago. It was received Feb. 01,2008. I received my NOA Feb.6. Got my biometrics date on 2/11/08 and had biometrics taked on 2/23/08.

Now my question is this- the day after I sent the AOS package, my husband cancelled the check because we had some problem with our bank account and some mix-up so anyway 2 days after cancelling problem was resolved and we had the problem fixed at our bank and check should have been good. We were hoping that the check problem had been resolved before our AOS was received by the USCIS. I received my NOAs and biometrics appointment so i thought everything was ok and then I got a letter dated Feb 19 that our case was put on hold because the check was cancelled. We remedied it by following the instructions in the letter and resending payment before the due date. Has anyone been on the same situation before? Do you know how long the application will be delayed and other things that might be of consequence? I tried checking my case status online but the latest news was from Feb. 19/07.Thanks

We are getting ready to begin AOS tommorrrow by goin to the attorney to file. Hope everyones goes smoothly :thumbs:

I mailed our k-1 appl in February 15, 2008 as well. I just waiting for the next step. However, D.R. seems to have a long filing period compared to other countrys. :thumbs:(L)

Same here, no online status yet....... I guess it takes a while for USCIS to update their online database.

I can't see mine online either yet....still waiting....and waiting....and waiting.... :)

We had a lawyer as she had been hired to do the process from start to finish and she mailed in our application on Feb 21 and I still haven't received NOA maybe since others have no status online yet this is no big deal, I am crossing my fingers for us all. Once I get my NOA I will check online and let you know if I can see my status.

Quick update, I did get my NOA's for both AOS & EAD today. I went online and am able to see that they recieved my case and that I would get a Biometrics letter. It took a few tries to reach the site but it did finally come up.

K-1 journey, AOS/EAD and ROC in my timeline

AOS NOA letter dated: February 21st.

Also received mail with same date notifications of NOA for AP and EAD.

Biometrics appointment is on March 15th, 2008.

Is this strange to have it on a Saturday and where the H is Norridge, IL??

Is it possible/normal to receive an RFE after a case has been transferred to CSC? I have had 3 or 4 touches with no email update and I am getting nervous!

You can most likely just obsess like I do!! :dance: A touch is just when the date changes on a particular receipt. Like I had a touch this afternoon and it changed from March 9 to March 10th. If you get an email, you can expect a paper notice that something has happened with the case...such as transfer, RFE, approval, etc. If it's just a touch with no email, it's usually someone working on the file or switching desks or something internal like that.
